I also plan to take it in April and started studying this January. I'm committing to around 20-22 hours of studying each week, which will get me to 250ish study hours. I think that is a solid start for my first test. I plan to retake it in July if I'm not satisfied with my score.
It really depends on the score you’re aiming for. If you’re shooting for a high score and also have other commitments, it can be tough, though not impossible. Personally, I’m in school, and between a full course load, work, and a social life, most of my time was taken up, so I needed a lot more than four months. That’s just my experience. Unless you need to take the April test specifically for school applications, I’d recommend studying until you truly feel ready and then taking the test when the timing makes sense.
Hi! I think that if you give yourself at least an hour or two a day studying, take a practice test every week/every other week it is definitely enough time. Before you start anything take a diagnostic to see where your starting point is (do not be defeated about the score its just a starting point).
If you think its going to be a cram it will be if you are not prepared to study everyday.
