Self-study
Hello! I am taking the June LSAT and received an email yesterday about the writing portion opening and how to access it. I have been told by many people to not do the writing portion until after taking the multiple choice exam. I know that LSAC won't release scores until the writing has been submitted. How long after the multiple choice exam window is the writing open for?

I did mine like a few days before the scores came out (I was in school and TOTALLY forgot) and they approved it literally two days after and i got my score on time.
Technically the window is open for one year! Here is the relevant information from the LSAC website (https://www.lsac.org/lsat/about/lsat-argumentative-writing):
"If you do not have a writing sample on file, we encourage you to complete LSAT Argumentative Writing as soon as you can. LSAT Argumentative Writing opens eight (8) days prior to every test administration. Candidates must have a complete writing sample in their file in order to see their score or have their score released to schools. Most law schools require a writing sample as an integral part of their admission decision, and therefore, you should complete the writing sample immediately to meet schools’ application deadlines.
In case you are not applying in the current cycle, please note you have a maximum of one (1) year to complete LSAT Argumentative Writing."
It can take a while for LSAC to process the sample, so it's good to do the sample soon after your LSAT in order to have sufficient time until score release.
