I get that it's supposed to mimic LawHub's new look for the August 2026 LSAT, but I've gotten so used to the older version and the way its tools are formatted that the sudden change has thrown me off of my study rhythm. For example, I tend to rely on crossing out answers a lot, and it was super convenient when I was able to directly click on that button for each answer I could focus more energy on closely reading my remaining answers. However, with the new format I have to press an on/off button for that option before I'm able to cross off answers, which diverts away a lot of valuable focus I could instead be using on carefully reading the question and answers. I could be overreacting though.

I really wish there was an option to toggle between the old and new versions so I could focus my energy on the questions first and then get comfortable with using the new format's tools later.

  • There isn't a point practicing with the old format. The more time you spend with the new format the better as you will have to test with it

    Hello!

You are definitely not overreacting! I completely understand what you mean, and I have seen a lot of complaints from other students about this exact layout change. Having to expend extra energy and clicks just to eliminate answer choices is definitely frustrating when you are trying to save every second.

That being said, I honestly believe getting used to the new UI soon is going to be much more beneficial for you than postponing it.

When I was studying, getting comfortable with the exact test format mattered so much to me that I actually did all my practice in the official LawHub just so the UI would match the actual exam. Test day brings enough anxiety on its own; you want the interface to feel like second nature.

If you wait to learn the new format, you are going to build your entire pacing and reading strategy around a tool that won't be there on test day. Once you build a solid strategy, it is incredibly challenging to rewire your muscle memory and change those habits. Since every LSAT will use this new format from now on, adjusting to the change now means you will have one less thing to stress about as your test date approaches. I believe that you will adjust to it faster than you think.

    Best of luck!

I know exactly what you mean; this change felt weird when I first saw it. I cross out answers like my life depends on it, and that extra click - plus the fact that it sets you into a crossing out mode that you have to toggle out of in order to actually select your answer - means an extra step for my brain to process and definitely throws me off my rhythm. All the same, supposedly, this is the new LawHub format, so we definitely know who to blame!

Best of luck, you got this! Let's hope the new format is a quick adjustment for all of us.
