🙃 Confused

What should I do?

Hey guys!! So I have been planning to take the LSAT in August, however, recently I feel like I have been improving but I feel like I am not where I want to be yet. I am thinking about taking it in September instead to give me some more time to be more confident. I have already taken the LSAT twice.

My question is: Is it a good idea to take one in August and September? Or should I just shoot for September.

To echo the other comments, there's no real advantage to taking it in August if you're not feeling fully ready. The only reason I would do this is if you're hitting your goal score and want to give yourself another shot. There are also plenty of other application parts to work on as well in the meantime.

    Hello!

Ideally, you should only take the official exam once you are hitting your goal score range consistently in your PTs. Considering you have already taken the LSAT twice, the decision to sit for the exam again needs to be made very carefully to protect your remaining attempts.

I would not recommend taking it in both August and September. With only a one-month difference between the two dates, it is highly unlikely that your score will change significantly, and you risk burning yourself out.

Ultimately, my best advice is to take one whenever you are consistently hitting your goal score in your PTs and truly feel confident. I hope this helps, and good luck!

  • You should register once you are scoring in your desired range. If right now you are not happy with your score, you should not register just yet.
