I’m consistently scoring mid-160s on timed practice tests, but my blind review scores are mid-170s. I know that a gap this large means there’s something going wrong with my timed process, but I’m struggling to figure out exactly what.
For those who have had a similar gap, what specifically helped you turn your blind review score into your actual score? Did you focus more on timing, skipping strategy, drilling certain question types, or something else?
I’m trying to get into the high 160s, so I’d really appreciate any advice on how to close this gap!

Do one 10 question untimed LR drill and a single untimed RC passage day until you get 5 days of perfect drills. Meaning-0.
Once you get the logic perfect the first time through switch them to standard timed drills.
Once you get perfect timed drills, start doing 1 section a day, alternating LR and RC.
You’re not having a timing issue you’re having an understanding issue.
If you’re getting any of the first 20 questions in a section wrong, you are reading faster than you’re understanding. Read slower, think faster
Stop with the PTs until your timed sections are consistently predicting scores in the 170s
@CamKCoffee Thank you!! This is very helpful.
Hello, I'm in the same boat as you right now but what I've been doing to get better each time is reviewing my PTs a lot to figure out which questions I'm getting wrong and drilling those as well as mistake journalling to analyze my mistakes and why I chose incorrect answers. I often am stuck between two answers so I try to find the fatal flaw in an answer choice so I can eliminate it. I'm definitely not an expert but hope this helps somewhat!
@Chebebe Thank you sm!! That does help.
