    the diagramming starts with the a-->b (if a then b), which has the contrapositive if not b--> not a. There's also a "v" which means "or", and "&" which means "and". And <--> which is a biconditional, they rise and fall together.

    You could google those, and just get like a third graders understanding of what those are in formal logic.

    Also you could get a foundation on sufficient/necessary conditions, which are in the foundations in the core curriculum. And do some drills, you might intuitively know some and start by diagraming questions you can already solve.
