Good Morning/Afternoon to all,
Has anyone looked into changing their LSAT date from NOV to JAN? Will submissions to fall of 2027 still be feasible?
My PTs have been so inconsistent, and I believe the extra 8 weeks will push me in a really good spot my concern is that I don't make it to school in the fall because of a late LSAT.

I'm all over this message board saying two things:
1) You have to apply when your app is at its best.
2) Applying in January/February is really problematic given the trends that we're seeing (ie, apps are going to be at a 15-20 year high).
But let me throw another option out for you ... why can't you take both? I don't want to encourage you to take an LSAT if you really don't feel ready, but only you know how un/ready you feel. If you feel 95% ready, there's a chance you may get your target score. And getting that target score around Thanksgiving is a lot better than getting it around Feb 1.
But again, only you know yourself. If you aren't feeling ready to take the LSAT, then don't take it. But then you really have to be ready to apply come Jan/Feb!
@JacobBaska Staying positive and taking both, thank you so much!
I moved my LSAT from June to August and it was incredibly helpful. My PTs just were not where I wanted to them, but in spite of that, I was hesitant about moving since of all the hard work I had put in. Moving the exam gave me a couple months of much needed prep and I was able to get consistently above the score that I wanted.
November to January is a bit of a different story. You move to after Thanksgiving and Christmas. You will still be able to apply, just later in the cycle and need to have your material locked and loaded.
At the end of the day, schools really care about the LSAT, so getting 3-5 points higher on a test will make a big difference in terms of admission chances and scholarship.
I didn't give a clear answer but just thought I would share some things I would consider!
