Score went down 2 pts from 154 on Oct test. It’s below my schools medians but I have all my materials ready to go. Is it worth it?

I feel yah, studied for 6 months, got 139 on this October test, although it's my first attempt it still stings.
So your highest score is a 156? LSAC will automatically take the higher score. Also if you’re in the 25th percentile (below the medians of that school but it’s the lower 25% of who they HAVE accepted) you still have a solid shot especially if you have a solid GPA and Materials. 156 isn’t a bad score
@Evelyne225 sorry to clarify my highest score is a 154 but I was PTing in the high 150s so just a little shocked about my score drop.
If it makes u feel better- you're not alone, in the same boat!
@k13lawwwwww we got this! I think I’m still going to apply. Hopefully it won’t be too bad
I also studied for 9 months and was PTing in the high 150s so this is so frustrating
That’s really tough and I get where you’re coming from!
I think the questions to consider are:
Do you have reason to believe that you could do better if you retook the LSAT?
If so, would that increase make a difference for your target schools (ie, going above the school’s median)?
And if you don’t apply to law school this year, do you have plans for something to do (like a job) in the meantime?
Because if you KNOW you need to apply to law school this year, then you need to apply and hope for the best. But if you could retake in January or if you’re ok taking more time to study and then retaking in April or June, then you could apply in September or October next year and be in a good spot.
Good luck!
@JacobBaska my highest PTs were 6-8 points higher than my October score so I’m hoping if I take it in January the score would reflect that
@SafiyaDhunna Yuuuuuuuuuup. 6-8 points is a big difference not not for admission but also merit scholarship considerations. I think you gotta do what you gotta do.
I agree it is worth checking the 25th percentile stats, if it fits in and you apply this early it does help your chances. Are you okay with waiting for next cycle if not accepted? I think it is worth the shot, but only if you are comfortable. Best of luck!!
