PLEASE HELP

Hi guys,

I’ve been studying for a while now and am looking for some additional guidance. I did poorly on my August LSAT but have made some good progress over the last few months and gearing up for the January LSAT to still apply for this cycle. I need some help or any guidance anyone can offer. I am currently pretty consistent around -7 on LR and want to know how I can sufficiently get that up a little and am struggling some more looking for tips on RC where I tend to be very hit or miss. Any tips or guidance helps and is greatly appreciated. Please reach out. Thank you and good luck to you all!

For LR, I'd look at why you missed each question, not just the type. Was it a timing thing or just a tricky answer? Try working on those weak spots untimed first, and see if you can explain why the wrong answers are wrong. Once that feels better, mix in some timed sets.

For RC, I'd focus more on the structure and main ideas instead of trying to remember every detail. Keep an eye on your timing and see if there's a certain passage or question that's tripping you up. When you review, make sure you can point to where the right answer is in the text.

Since it's in January, you've got time. I'd focus on solid review for now, and then slowly add in more timed sections and full PTs as you go.

when I started plateauing I went back to the lessons and drilled specific question types (especially my weaker ones) until I started seeing the pattern to answering them. Once my drills were doing well I went back to full sections and full tests (which may dip a bit again - translating from specific questions to all types is a different game). If you really understand WHY you got a question wrong, you'll be less likely to make it again in the future. That said, some questions just get me and I'm okay with taking the hit on to save time, since I'm not aiming for perfect 😊

Can you give us more info about why you are missing questions? Without that it's hard to give you useful tips.
