I scored a 169 on the October LSAT. A 169 was also my last 3 pt average. However, I did score a 172 on one of those PT's. I have a 3.95 GPA and uncommon softs, but I am a bit worried/discouraged because my current LSAT score makes acceptance into my dream schools of UCLA, USC or UC Berkley unlikely. I don't want to wait another cycle. Is a January LSAT retake a good idea, or would I be sacrificing scholarship and/or admission chances. Appreciate the feedback.

You have a great GPA, don't throw that away by settling for a subpar LSAT. 169 is barely gonna cut it at those schools (if at all) and if it does you won't get much in the way of scholarships. If you can get to the mid or even low-170s you go from a reverse splitter (not where you want to be) to a legit excellent applicant.
Hi! Please take this with a grain of salt, but I would advise retaking in January. Plenty of people take it then and I don't think waiting for the January LSAT would be too late at all. In my view it would be better to apply later + score at/above medians, than earlier + score below medians.
