I am taking the November LSAT on November 14. Does anyone have tips about what to do on test day and the days leading up to the test?

I will be taking off work the Wednesday through Friday before the the test, which is on Saturday.

    • Like the other commenter mentioned, practice using a mouse

    • Practice doing like 10 questions on lawhub so you're used to the interface

    • For the 2 days before your test, don't do more than like 15 practice questions a day (and definitely DO NOT take another PT). Just rest and trust that you've done enough

    • Fix your sleep schedule so that you get used to waking up and functioning at the time your test is scheduled

    • Figure out exactly what kind of snack you're going to take

    • Take a piece of paper and write down every LR and RC question type and what your strategy is for answering them

    • Plan out and mentally prepare for what you would do if something goes wrong (ex: if you freeze up on certain questions, if you have tech issues, if you feel sick)

    • On test day, wake up and do some mindfulness exercises so you don't get psyched out (I went for a walk outside right before my test and the fresh air helped a lot)

    • Do 5-10 really easy one star questions (ONLY to get into the testing mindset. NOTHING CHALLENGING)

Good luck! Believe in yourself and all the hard work you've put in!

Best of luck! If you haven't already, get familiar with the LawHub format for the exam. 7sage does a wonderful job of replicating the interface but it is slightly different on LawHub. I would also say, if possible, see how the test looks on a 27-inch monitor (I believe most testing centers use a 27-inch monitor but you can call your testing center to find out their exact screen size). I only ever practiced on my 14-in laptop and sitting in front of a large computer monitor with a mouse for the first time while taking the actual exam felt a bit different for me. For some it's not a big deal but for me I wish I was able to at least stimulate/see a similar setup equivalent to the testing center set up prior to my first time taking the exam.

For general prep, I would recommend drilling a section a day if possible starting at the same exact time as your LSAT. So for example, if your exam starts at 9am then start practicing at 9am to get your brain in the habit/groove of starting at that time. Other than that don't overwork yourself!

Be sure to write down your LawHub log-in if you don't already know it. You are able to take it with you at the testing center and you will need it to get started. You got this!

Go to a public library and take the test on one of their computers. Closest thing you can get to replicating the test conditions.

Great recommendations in the comments! I found that rubbing a calm essential oil on my inner wrists helped keep me grounded. Also having a mint before taking your exam might help with memory recall and help you stay more alert. Good luck, I will also be taking my exam next week!
