I think the point of this Q is the word " alternative". All the stimulus says because the few of alternative is dangerous, herbs that are safe should be prescribed. It lets me question what about the original/conventional (rare and expensive) medicine? In fact, generally the alternative medicine is cheaper than conventional ones and it always happens that alternative does not have the exactly same effects as the conventional. ( This question reminds me of the skin-care products. Many people buy the alternative and say the effects are not the same as original.)
