hello everyone! looking for a group to study the LSAT with in the Boise area! i am open to virtual as well! looking specifically for anyone that has taken the LSAT before and wants to focus on conditional reasoning, causal reasoning, and flaw. God bless!
@SKhan1999 Group A: "normal caloric intake increased by 25 percent"
EX. 100 calories TOTAL + 25 ALCOHOL CALORIES = 125 TOTAL
Group B: "alcohol replace nonalcoholic sources of 25 percent of their normal caloric intake."
100 calories TOTAL (INCLUDING 25 from alchohol)
RESULT: equal gains in body fat (everyone gained 10 pounds)
Why is E wrong?
if the proportion of calories from alchohol in a diet is more important than the total calories, then Group B should have gained more body fat (because it took up a higher proportion). but the amount of body fat gained in the end was the SAME. so whether it's more or less of the proportion, it doesn't matter, because they will gain the same amount of body fat regardless.
therefore, the proportion is NOT more significant, because if it were, group B would have gained less weight.
NOTE: all caps are not for anger, just helps me keep track.
Jesus bless you!
