Score Variance?

Got a 168 on PT 157, but I just scored a 162 on PT 156. I knew the bebop RC killed me, and I definitely missed some LR gimmes, but how can I go about eliminating this level of variance when it comes to the actual August exam? Any tips/advice appreciated.

😊 Happy

I just scored a 168 on PT157.

PRACTICE DOES PAY OFF! I've been studying for this test for 3+ years, but I finally got into the real groove of things this past year. I am aiming for a 170+ on August's administration, and I started off with an official score of 152. Be patient. Be diligent. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Hello,

I've taken the LSAT several times and thanks to 7Sage am now firmly in the low 160's. I would like to find someone to meet with once a week to go over problem areas, hold each other accountable, and talk through tough questions. I am aiming for a 170, but would be satisfied with something in the higher 160's.

No. You only have a limited number of attempts. Please don't sign up until you're PT'ing consistently where you want. Trust me, I've learned this lesson the hard way. Law school will always be around, but you truly are limited to five attempts within five years, unless you get an exemption from LSAC. Still, you really don't want to take it that many times if you don't have to.

Try reading an article from Harper's Magazine each day. I've started to do that and its improved my focus and attention to detail.

Not true. They only look at the highest on file, as that is what is reported to ABA/ US News and World Report.
