Took it in person a while back - I was a little unprepared. I didn't have an easy-to-remember LSAC password, and when I wrote it on a sticky note, I misspelled the password. Lol. It took me a few extra minutes to log in and I had to run back to my car because I needed to check my phone. Overall, I was a little flustered and it put me in a bad starting position for the test. Other than that, security and everything else was very straightforward. I would encourage everyone to simulate testing conditions as much as possible - that means taking the test in uncomfortable environments (new chair/study spot). This is a hard one for me, because like you, I also sit in the same spot and chair..
sometimes i look at really nice apartments at my top choices for law school to inspire me (i live at home lol). or i watch diml's of attorneys (i really like @tiffthelawyer). also, i leave the house to study. i pack candy/tea or something else i can look forward to during breaks. try putting your phone/other distractions in another room. dw everyone gets distracted easily! try doing small things each study session to see if it helps :)
@Elecoo I think the key word in "over half of people who have parachuted only once report being extremely frightened by the experience" is only. There are two groups: people who have only parachuted once, and people who have done it many times. MC E is targeting the second group because their initial time was not their only time. Just because they are talking about the first time the second group parachuted does not automatically put them in the first group.
Also, the passage assumes that the more one parachutes, the less they will be frightened by it. AND that most everyone is afraid of parachuting their first time, but they keep parachuting so they are no longer scared.
MC E attacks this assumption by stating that some people aren't scared at all - so it makes no difference how often they parachute. For all we know, these people could make up most or all of the people who parachute ten times or more.
