@JenniferLewis Although I am not very good at identifying arguments and not-arguments, my rule of thumb is to try to sum up what the main point of the passage was. If there isn't a point (if it's just information and there isn't at any point someone saying you should be believing in something), then it's likely to not be an argument. But again, this is what works for me. Hope that helps.
@SandiaMango personal preference. Remember these signs are made to reference logical relationships faster, so whatever works the most natural to you is what works- as long as it means the same as what is learned in the lesson and not overly confusing / time consuming.
