For it to be an overall success wouldn't both conditions (economically and protecting liberties) have to be fulfilled? The answer only mentions one of the conditions so I chose A because it did say they were economically successful. Nothing about individual liberties so it wouldn't be considered an overall success without both being in the answer.

This question makes no sense. If E is correct and says the company is heading for bankruptcy and will be forced to sell why would it "steadfastly refuse" to sell. If they were going under wouldn't they want to sell in the first place
