Method of reasoning for choice E and Stimulus:
-Two possible outcomes for a general situation are provided.
-Applicable situation is occurring presently
-Generalization is applied to the current situation
-Outcome 1is not true
-Therefore, it is predicted that outcome 2 will occur.
If I'm correct, B would be the correct answer for a necessary assumption question for this stimulus.
After rereading the question this actually makes perfect sense to me. All of the incorrect answers offer an alternative explanation, other than more skillful drivers, for the decrease of fatalities. E agrees that they are more skilled, due to the training program.
But for C doesn't it have to be complete because otherwise someone could find a very old dromeosaur, way older than any bird, which then would render the earlier people's argument true again.
I thought cardiopulmonary was just a heart doctor.
Stimulus and correct AC both discount a possible cause of their respective incidents without evidence.
Stimulus: that Mr. T stole.
AC: That cafeteria food was responsible for the illness.
