@jess.zzz — JY addresses this in the video. That said, you’re correct. The opposite is directly proportional, which means that two things travel in the same direction — one thing goes up (or down) and so does the other.
@NickAu11 — mid-90s would be about 1995. Next decade can be read as “following ten years.” So, 1995 + 10 years =2005. It just a logical deduction, but it doesn’t matter because all you’re concerned with is what’s in the stimulus and it only takes us up to about the year 2005.
@SophiaBigio — Inference needs to be based off of what’s in the stimulus. Answer choice (E) creates new premises out of the blue — more like a prediction — than an inference or safe assumption that can be drawn from the stimulus. In my mind, it went way over the top. Plus the question stim ask for what can be “properly inferred”. I didn’t feel I could infer (E) based on the stimulus.
@lizbetharroyo423 — I think you missed the point. Nothing in the stimulus talks about the cost for the consumer. Only the cost of production. No where does the stimulus state what it costs, and even in the real world, there are times where the cost of producing a part is so low it is not passed onto the consumer.
@ykmazumdar — I still watch just to make sure my reasoning is sound. It’s a bit of a check to see if I’m learning anything or if it was just a good, or lucky, guess.
