I get confused with the word hypothesis because how is at the sentence, "Some people have maintained that private ownership of the means of production ultimately destroys any society that sanctions it," a hypothesis if there is no evidence or wording of a hypothesis? I would say it's just OPA and premise. I understand that the rest of answer C is correct, but hypothesis really messes me up.

I thought we're not allowed to go backwards for the correct answer? For C, it starts with the conclusion, but I thought we aren't suppose to go backwards?
