Does anyone know why we are not using logic symbols? Ex: ~ is the logic symbol for not and v is the logic symbol for or.
We are learning the foundation of questions. I believe later the lessons will become more specific to actual questions on the LSAT.
Hi! I highly recommend looking up logic symbols and connectives. They are identical to the elements we are learning, but sometimes a little bit more simplified. Ex: Sufficient condition → Necessary condition (our lesson); X → Y = If X, then Y (logic symbols); Cat → Mammal = If Cat, then Mammal.
When hypothesis two asks 'just how exactly would contracting lung cancer cause someone to smoke?' I'm thinking well... because the correlation we are trying to explain is not specific on what type of smoking (is cigarette smoking implied? probably? maybe?); having lung cancer could cause someone to smoke weed.
