For these it really helped me to go back and read the three points on how to ID an argument. Asking myself, "what does the author want me to believe?" and "why should I believe it?" helped with these a lot, especially with questions like 5.1 and 6.1 where they're not as blatant.

If it's just a set of facts (no argument) then it's all just context for the statements being made. Context as described here relates to additional information for an argument.

Because there are so many assumptions being made it's not a very strong argument. It requires us to do a lot of the work assumptions wise to get the argument there

I like that you pointed out that a good assumption will strengthen an argument by clearly creating a strong connection between the relata in the relationship, leaving less room for weaker inferences.

Disney - Tigers - Trash. More support/claims that directly support the conclusion rather than calling it into question.

With the Disney argument there is a clear line from the premises to the conclusion. Even before the conclusion is written we've drawn that answer in our minds. Tigers, is a little less clear but you still answer "yes" when you put that supportive premise to the conclusion. With the trash, you're left with a lot more questions. Do the premises support the conclusion, yes BUT there's no clear line other than promixity of Mr. Fat Cat to the scene. If we caught him with salmon or trash it would be stronger.

Similiar to Tiger: Not all Barbies pose a danger to children. Last year only half of Barbies purchased exploded. Children enjoy playing with Barbies.

Similar to Disney: Everyone who lives in Cincinnati purchased their house at least 5 years ago. Sarah purchased her home 10 years ago. Only people who purchased their homes can hang wreaths on the door. Sarah hangs a wreath every December. So, it is likely Sarah lives in Cincinnati.

Similar to Cat: Julie was the one playing the violin yesterday. Julie sleeps upstairs. There were violin sounds coming from upstairs yesterday. Right after the time the violin sounds were heard Julie came down with a violin in hand. Therefore, it was Julie who was making the noise.
