When I first saw this question it really threw me off and I found the video explanation to be confusing. I spent way too long on it trust me. After I put it in my WAJ I revisited it a month later and I got it immediately no issues, in terms of the logic and grammar, speed I still need to work on but here is my understanding. Hope it helps someone

(AP -> Good) is under the umbrella of E, it does not have to go into the chain because E is representing it

Gap: E -> W -> D

(AP -> Good) -> W -> D

@MaxThompson Is this is a whole to part or part to whole question? The analysis says whole to part from my understand but you are saying it is part to whole

This was a very tough question obviously. So here is my take on understanding the premises, SC and MC. I feel like understanding the AC was more challenging for me than the organizing the structure of the stim. This is the way I organized it, which helped me make the most sense of the structure and what I put in my WAJ.

P1: feeling --> /control

P2: P to do something NOT in one's control --> P makes no sense

SC: "love" refers to feeling --> P makes no sense

Chained: feeling --> /control --> P makes no sense

Gap: ???

MC: should NOT TAKE "love" to be referring to feeling

Gap: P makes no sense --> /TAKE "love" to be referring to feeling

D. I needed to internalize I am not determining the direction of the translation, the grammar and context are.

My brain kept looking at it like:

/interpreted --> /sense

The context from what I understand now is as follows:

A: Makes no sense

B: Promises should not be interpreted in such a way that

/sense --> /interpreted

I also understand D as:

Promises should be interpreted in a way that they make sense

Interpret --> sense; /sense --> /interpreted

The things I found tricky in this question:

  1. SC and MC sounded identical to me; I glazed over the word take

  2. as a result of the above, I didn't clock; take = interpreted

  3. Without putting the structure in the order above, I was not able to recognize where the gap should be

  4. translating AC (D) was also tricky because I was too focused on looking for indicators, and because of that I kept getting:

    /interpreted --> /sense.
