For personal statements, or through other application requirements, to what extent should you address the type of practice you intend to pursue? What degree do adcoms expect an applicant to know what they want to do? Is it enough to express general interest in certain areas without a clear idea of where you want to end up? Is this even expected to be expressed in any part of the application at all or is it typically the case that applicants aren't fixated on a type of practice?
