How come number 11 cannot be kitten —/m→ home-children? Can anybody explain why it is kitten —m→ /home-children?

I confidently chose A thinking this was way too easy and audibly gasped when I saw the correct answer was C. Thank you LSAT for continuing to humble me. <3

I got the conclusion wrong and chose answer choice C. :( I thought the conclusion was "But biologists claimed the same thing for their field 20 years ago, and they turned out to be wrong."
