LSAT Argumentative Writing

I'm seeing that the LSAT Argumentative writing is now open between 11/3 and 11/11. Do we have to take it prior to the exam, or can it be completed after the fact? #help

I eliminated B because I thought ice cream sales fell because of the sales of cheddar cheese which could be considered an "alternative explanation". I had chosen E because the conclusion mentions eating cheddar cheese rather than ice cream, but what if they eat both? That would be a flaw. Can anyone help?
