I'm seeing that the LSAT Argumentative writing is now open between 11/3 and 11/11. Do we have to take it prior to the exam, or can it be completed after the fact? #help

Hi! You have a whole year to complete it; I took mine a week or two after the test because I didn't want to worry about it prior to, and my score was released on time with everyone else.
Per the LSAC website: "LSAT Argumentative Writing opens eight (8) days prior to every test administration. Test takers must have a complete writing sample in their file in order to see their score or have their score released to schools. Most law schools require a writing sample as an integral part of their admission decision, and therefore, you should complete your writing sample to meet schools’ application deadlines.
In case you are not applying in the current cycle, please note you have a maximum of one year to complete your LSAT Argumentative Writing sample."
So you can take it up to a year later, but you won't be able to see your LSAT score until you complete it and they process it.
To the other comment’s point, I did mine a day and a half before score release and it was approved in time. Not saying that will always be the case but you can wait last minute from my experience
You can do it after you take the test. Don't worry about it and you don't have anything to worry about it impacting your score release short of you doing it very late.
