I'm a mama of 2 changing careers from pharma sales. I may end up at a lower ranked program part time while working for financial reasons. This gives me a lot of hope. I'd love to do big law.

Thank you so much for this.

Many RCs are effectively extended LR stimuli in a sense. They'll have other people's argument, followed by the author's opinion. The author will remain neutral, agree with the OPA, or disagree with the OPA. And as mentioned above, the subtle hint words can really help you anticipate how the author feels.

Example:

This discovery~ = author probably neutral

This groundbreaking discovery = author probably agrees

This supposedly groundbreaking discovery = author probably disagrees

I'm going to emphasize this comment because it's a great example of what you should be looking for to help you with these questions.

Pay extra attention to these key words. It will help you not only with questions on tone / author's attitude but also "which of the following would the author (or other party discussed) be most likely to agree?"

If I get one of these wrong, 99% of the time it is because I wasn't tracking point of views / key words closely enough. Be sure you are (1) identifying the key words and (2) connecting them to the right party.

Be sure to do blind review and be able to point to exact line numbers that provide the information or clues that help you select the correct answer. The better your review, the better you will become.

there's nothing wrong with using crisis hotlines, but everyone should be aware that they aren't as confidential as they claim. Many trace calls, and often send the police to come get people who call, even people who wanted to call "anonymously". Some people get picked up at work, even, or in other public places where people can see and it can ruin your job/life/reputation. More info here: https://www.madinamerica.com/2020/11/suicide-hotlines-trace-your-call/

I can't speak to other hotlines but I volunteer for a text line. I will say this can happen, but there needs to be clear proof straight from your messages that there is immediate danger. For example, you make it clear that you are about to commit suicide - you have the means and a plan to do so within the next few hours, for example. The goal is to help texters get through the tough times so this does not happen. All volunteers are trained to try to talk you down, rather than call for help. We do not want to have to do that.

If anyone is struggling, please don't NOT reach out out of fear that 911 will be called. They most likely will not be unless your life is in danger. If you need to talk to someone, reach out!!

Thank you all for your interest! I currently have a ton of messages and my schedule is filling up. I don't want to take on more than I can handle so I have to shut this down for now. I'll post again if I have additional availability.

Hi everyone!

I'm currently scoring in the mid 160s. I've spent a lot of time studying for the exam and will continue to do so. I think teaching others will help me continue to improve and hopefully help you as well if you are currently scoring ~155 or below.

If I cannot answer a question or you're struggling with a weaker area of mine, I will tell you immediately.. as I don't want to guide anyone in the wrong direction. However, I will happily answer all of the questions that I feel comfortable answering and walk through problems with you. I've also used a whole range of prep materials so I can give you some insight with regards to that as well.

If you are interested, message me and we can try to work out a time (I'm in EST)!

Thank you :)

C- If the death rate from alcohol related diseases was high before this prohibition period and after this prohibition period, then the conclusion (prohibition merely made people want and use alcohol MORE than they would have if it had not been forbidden) is much less likely to be true.. since people were dying from alcohol related diseases at similar rates. There's flaws within this view, of course, but you don't need to completely demolish the argument.. just make the conclusion a little less likely to be true.

D- Well when did they consume the alcohol? Did they consume it in the years before the prohibition because it was popular to illegally import alcohol? Do we know that it was completely legal to important alcohol made with the same methods as in Geronia prior to this prohibition? Does this answer truly address the conclusion -> prohibition making people want to drink alcohol MORE than before?

Loophole first 8 chapters then 7Sage curriculum. Don't do all of the problem sets after each question type though. 1 or 2 with extensive review then keep moving.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
