Just because you haven't gotten to it in the curriculum doesn't mean skip blind review. You should BR because even if you didn't get to it in the timed exam, you still need to practice the material. You can always go back and do the section again after you actually learn it in the curriculum. But you're doing a disservice to yourself if you skip BR and just look at the answers.

I'm no admissions expert, but here are my thoughts on this:

If it's a school where your LSAT score is higher than their 75th percentile, then they want you to apply because if you matriculate to that school, you'll boost their LSAT stats which could help boost that school's ranking.

If it's a school where your LSAT score is at median or lower, then you have some other factor that they believe will contribute to the greater community at their school OR they're looking boost the perception of their selectivity by having more applicants that they don't take.

Either way, you're not guaranteed admissions just because you receive one of these messages. So don't use recruitment emails as the basis for where you apply.

Sometimes you put in the work and still fall a bit short. That's not the end of the world. Just remember that being below median doesn't automatically kill your chances. If you can tell an awesome story, your personal statement and other essays can make up for your slightly lower score.

It depends on how the test is curved. PT91 is deemed an "easier" test, therefore it has a stricter curve. 92 is deemed a harder test, so you can miss more and still get a similar score.

For the love of God don't PT on Wednesday. At this point, it's all about execution. You can't execute well if you use up all your energy in practice. Breaks are just as important as putting in the work. You need to recharge before the real deal. In my experience, it made a huge difference.

My first LSAT, I did too much before the test, and I felt really heavy and crummy throughout the test. I feel like I was lucky to score around my average that day. My 2nd time, I did next to nothing right before the test and almost matched my best PT score despite the fact that my last 2 PTs before the test were subpar.

You might be a little burned out/ stressed. My advice is do the bare minimum when it comes to studying/review. I didn't do so great on my PTs leading up to the exam but scored 6 points higher than my average on the real test. I was especially burned out on LR so I didn't look at LR at all and only did some light LG and RC problem sets in the week before my test

No. A GPA addendum is for if you have an especially low GPA that needs to be explained. 3.8 is not especially low under any circumstances. Put your energy into good essays.

I forgot to have a conversation with my proctor about interruptions this time and had zero problems. Practice the things you can control such as staying in the camera frame the whole time to minimize the chance of interruption.

Did anyone else who had the 2 LG sections feel like one was insanely difficult and one was super easy? I ran out of time and ended up bubbling in at random on the difficult one which almost never happens to me. The super easy LG had a simple sequencing question and some mixed grouping. Hopefully the hard LG was experimental? LR and RC were much easier than usual.

I had a 2 LG sections like that as well and reacted to them the same way you did... praying the harder was experiemental

I had 1 LG that I found super easy. The games were about experienced employees and managers, 6 classes, parade floats, and buying books

Only 1 RC for me. No Outkast passage

I had 2 LRs as well but no memory of this question

Just finished! Guess I was the one delaying general discussion haha

I had RC-LR-LR-LG: felt equally meh about both LRs but I feel good about RC and definitely obliterated LG

I'm struggling to visualize what kind of cheating would even be helpful for this kind of exam. Unless you had a smart friend who could also see your screen answering the end questions for you while you worked from number 1?

But even if cheating happens, what good does it do for you to speculate about it?

I think the stimulus is meant to be read as the act of wearing the shoes doesn't constitute more exercise. Like just wearing the shoes doesn't inherently mean you're getting more exercise. If one person who wears toning shoes and one who doesn't go on a walk together and walked an equal amount on the same terrain, neither got more exercise than the other.

If you walk more that would lead to more exercise that strengthens your muscles.

You're making an assumption about sunburn causing melanoma. Even though sunburn increases your risk of cancer, that's a real world fact that's outside the context of this argument.

The conclusion for the argument is that you should put adequate sunblock on skin exposed to strong sunlight. The support is 1) overexposure leads to melanoma and 2) adequate sunblock prevents sunburn, even in the event of overexposure.

The argument makes the assumption that preventing sunburn is enough to prevent the overexposure that leads to melanoma. But what if sunburn prevention and melanoma prevention are completely unrelated? And that's what A points out.

Little Victories in a Great Online Community

We're in the midst of test time once again, and I just wanted to take a moment to say that no matter what your outcome, don't forget to reflect on the little victories in the study process.

I hit 1000 karma points today and was super excited about it XD. While my first thought was "lol sis you need to do something other than comment on 7sage" my next thought was "Why do I comment on 7sage so much?"

And the answer is simple. It's because you all are such a supportive community. Seeing how much everyone wants to help each other makes me want to help others that much more. So cheers you all 7sagers :) Surely one of the best support systems out there!

Are you applying this year? If so, work on your Personal Statements?

Really you just need to be preoccupied with something else. If there's a Netflix show or something you couldn't watch because you were too busy studying, watch it. Whatever hobby you weren't doing because of studying, do it!

Let's say when the survey was mandatory, this was the participation breakdown:

10/100 red people

20/100 orange people

16/100 blue people

When the survey became voluntary, this was the participation breakdown:

10/100 red people

20/100 orange people

16/100 blue people

Even if none of these people overlap, the accuracy between these groups are no different because the samples are equally as representative in both cases. It's 46/300 people with the exact same subgroup breakdown. This is what option C is talking about.

C wouldn't strengthen if it was the rich getting the most benefit from economic expansion. That would increase class divisions, which is the opposite of what the argument wants to happen

The percentage of people in their respective classes doesn't matter. What matters is their ability to improve their standing in life. According to the argument, if class divisions are too strong, then people don't have the social mobility necessary for a properly functioning democratic society.

C isn't guaranteeing that everyone poor moves up. Rather that everyone has the resources necessary to move up based on the status they currently have.

Like I see what your saying that her time and at one time could be in the same timespan, but "at one time" kind of implies "no longer"

I think the the implication though is that "at one time" means a point long ago given that it's talking about the evolution of humans. Even if you concede that it's not the distant past, "at one time" definitely implies that it's not present day.

No, it doesn't because if you read around the sibling bit in option A (which is just there to throw you off btw: it doesn't actually have an important function in the sentence grammatically) The sentence just says athletic ability varies and a teenager with more athletic ability is more likely to participate in sports. This statement shows a non environmental factor (athletic ability) that influences a teenager's decision to participate in sport, which is exactly in line with the argument that environment has little impact on a teenager's decision to participate in sports.

The line reads "transliterated terms, such as "dang-tang" for "downtown." You don't need prior knowledge in Chinese to do that kind of word association. If you know what transliterated means, you definitely don't need knowledge about Chinese to answer this question. and even if you don't know what transliterated means, you can see that the letters in dang-tang and downtown kind of line up.

The context is enough to infer what's going on, is what I'm trying to get at I guess.

Make sure your setup is fully prepared and that you have a backup plan ready in case something happens to your connection.

Practice staying situated in front of the camera properly so that the proctor doesn't interrupt you for going off camera.

Basically, do anything you can to eliminate as much potential stress as possible.

Most importantly, just trust your abilities and your preparation.
