Isn't the correct answer in effect doing what JY warns against doing with regard to answer choice B, i.e., assuming it's a linear relationship? #help

Is the distinction between "must be allowed to work alone" and "must work alone" not relevant here just because none of the answer choices pick up on it? JY doesn't either, but it seems to me that being permitted to work alone is not at all the same thing as being required to work alone. #help

It could also be that the elimination of the rodents altogether deprives the owls of a key food source, i.e., the rodent population as a whole diminishes to the point of vanishing, thus endangering the owls. This seems like a fair conclusion to make with minimal assumptions.
