Words of Wisdom

I started studying last June and took my first test this January and got a 149😔. I pushed it back from October because I knew I wasn’t ready with Powerscore. I got a tutor through them and got scammed and didn’t realize till last minute 🫠. I ended up playing catch up last minute before the test, which I feel definitely played a role in my score. I plan on taking the April LSAT and know I still struggle with LR. Are there any tactics or suggestions people can offer to support with this journey.

I honestly chose C and stuck to it, but because I disregarded the “because” in the first sense, which is a premise indicator. If I would have remembered, I def would have got this one right

Each of the arguments contained a premise and a conclusion, but Disney was the strongest because it didn't leave room for assumptions. Argument 1 left us with the question of "what about the other mammals who aren't aggressive?" For an argument to be strong we want to limit the questions and assumptions. For argument three, there's information provided through the premise, but not enough. Same thing with Argument 1, "what if somebody else knocked down the trash and the cat just took that opportunity?'

Argument 1: Not every student is able to keep their mouth shut for the entire period of class. After all, Brandon spoke within the first 5 minutes, then the rest of the period.

Argument 2: Students at USC can now access free parking throughout campus. Students who have achieved a 3.8 GPA & above can pick up their pass at the parking office. All other students must have interned during both their Spring & Fall semesters for 2+ years can also obtain a pass. Jas was able to obtain a pass, but was not able to make the GPA cut. So, it makes sense that she interned during both her Spring & Fall semesters for 2+ years.

Argument 3: When Annie came home, she saw papers ripped up & trash everywhere on the floor. She called for her dog Milo, but he wouldn't respond. When she went to look for him, she found that he was hiding underneath the bed, something he usually does when he's done something wrong. Her conclusion is that Milo made the mess then hid underneath the bed because he knew he was wrong and would get in trouble.

I am a bit confused with the last example with the armies because I attempted to translate the first sentence into Lawgic and got:

/S→ES

/ES → S

Then translated sentence two into:

/S→TLPI

/TLPI →S

And was confused how to make the connection "lawgicly" because I get the idea that if the siege is not successful Ty he will lose it, but if he doesn't lose political influence, the siege will be successful. And that because it's successful, the armies from the Reach didn't have enough supplies to stop it.

I tried to reverse the first sentence from before to

/ES → S

/S →ES

But still struggled to make the lawgical connection to the second section.
