After being stuck at ~167, I finally scored a 172. I scored my first - 0 today. If I can do this next month I'll be so happy!

@ It's great to connect with another person who wants to make a difference in this area. We need more lawyers who understand this subject, and unfortunately it's a problem that will continue to grow. It's awesome that you're volunteering. That's a great opportunity to really help people who are struggling. Thanks for the book recommendation. I'll check it out. Best of luck to you!

I want to work in criminal defense with a focus of representing defendants with mental illness. I'm interested in how mental health courts are proliferating and according to my research, they appear to be effective in reducing recidivism. Incarcerating people with severe and persistent mental illness fails to serve anyone's interests. I want to work directly with defendants and also in criminal justice reform. Lawyers aren't typically known for their compassion, but I would love to see that play a greater role in the justice system. I don't know if trauma-informed practice is a thing, but it should be. Nobody benefits from putting sick people in cages.

@, How did the bee get into the test room? I'm sorry this happened, but it sounds like you did a good job continuing to work on the problems.

I went outside during the break and I'm pretty sure it flew down my shirt. It just sort of hung out until the proctor began section 4, and then it really got my attention. I felt really bad for the little guy. Unfortunately, there was no time to render assistance. There was an LR passage that demanded my attention. I'm just going to attribute the experience to the unintended consequence of the proliferation of the bee-friendly campus which is so trendy right now.

I'm in a similar situation. I left a career in business management to finish my B.S. and apply to law school. I'll be starting in Fall 2019. I'm also a single mom with two kids in middle school. Non-traditional? Yeah. That's me. It's a little scary, but I'm so happy I'm doing it. Best of luck to you!

Today was my first time taking the LSAT. How can a test be so long when the 35 minutes for each section goes by so fast? I think I did okay, but I went outside during the break and a bee flew down my shirt. When we started Section 4, it stung me! I couldn't do anything about until after the test. I definitely didn't plan for that contingency, but I figure that if I can focus with that kind of distraction, I'll be ready when it comes time to present my case in court. Good luck to everyone who tested today! I wish you all the best.

We're not all hoping for big law and top schools, which is great for everybody - less competition. Be proud of your accomplishments. If 150 works for you and will be sufficient to achieve your goals, you're going to be just fine. Best of luck!
