Looking for encouragement/opinion

So I sat for the March LSAT after studying from November 2018 to the test date and my PT average was sitting around 171. However, I scored a 166 on the real thing. Now, my first section on the march test was logic games. I have type 1 diabetes and let's just say things during the first section did not go as planned. My insulin pump broke and my blood sugar was a disaster. Thus, I ended up having to guess on 5 questions in LG (average is -.06).

With all that being said, I am thinking that given what happend on test day, I actually did pretty well. At this point, I am getting mentally ready for my retake this week, and feel pretty good. But, I still have nagging doubts that this exam won't go much better. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated! I hope everyone does well.

One of my LR sections had questions about road repair and recitals. Anyone else? Thinking this was the experimental for me.

Why do my chances go down about 3% every year? Lol

Thanks to @oshun1 and @. Today I wrote PT 72 and scored a 164. So, that does seem to be a significant decrease from my average. However, it seems more important to me that the feel of the questions were different and the RC significantly harder. At this point, I am debating whether to take 3 PTs a week starting at 56 where I left off and get to 86 by the week of the exam, or if I should take 2 a week and start at 70. Any thoughts? Also, how long did it take each of you to get back to your average after starting on the newer tests? Thanks!

What to do from now until March 29th?

Hello,

Background: I started studying with 7Sage the first week of November. I started at a 151 diagnostic. I have been studying full time since then and my average is now 168. I have not touched PTs 56-86 except for 67 and 68. Basically, I am back in school full time now working on my masters and am getting pretty tired of the LSAT. However, I want to keep my skills fresh for the March 30th administration. Frankly, I am aiming for 170. I finished with a 4.0 UGPA so I am trying to get into T10 schools. Thus, I am seeking opinions from anyone who might have been/is in in a similar situation. I am debating whether 1PT a week and drilling a few problem types is enough, or if I should be shooting for 2-3 PTs a week? To me, I get a lot more out of drilling the hardest question types of the problems I struggle with in comparison to taking full tests. Any advice is appreciated!

#help The only thing tripping me up on this question is that it seems there is a difference between "must be allowed to work alone" versus "have to work alone." Does the fact that she's been assigned to work with Mike mean that she wasn't allowed to work alone?

My issue with this question is that you have to assume that the other products this family sold were on par with the amount they sold in wool. What if international wool sales made up 99% of their profits even before the international wool prices increased dramatically?

Hi all, thank you so much for the responses. I'd like to clarify a few things that each of you said in one post. Frankly, I'm shooting for 168+. I am slowly raising my average PT score to ~163-164. My best section is LR (-4.7 avg.), followed by RC (-5.6 avg.), followed by LG (a sad -7.8 avg.) Clearly, I am focusing most of my time on LG for the next few weeks. Also, 7sage is the only resource I have used.

I am prepared to spend the next 5 weeks doing nothing but studying for the LSAT with the goal of raising my score 4-6 points. However, if i'm not 100% sure on applying this cycle, it seems that the best thing to do would be to wait until the March administration and apply next cycle. Additionally, it is my understanding that if I should not do as well as I would hope in March, the June test would allow me to cancel after seeing my score, which sounds like a free shot. These things, combined with the fact that I would be applying at the end of this cycle, compels me to wait.

I did just graduate from undergrad in May (actually did so in 3 years so I'm only 22 right now). I have also been working on an MBA program since graduation. Waiting to apply till next cycle would also allow me to finish the MBA before heading to law school.

Now, in writing this I have stated a lot of reasons to wait. However, I should mention that I would be happy with getting a 165+ (which I think I can accomplish in January) and applying this cycle to schools outside the top 5-8. So, I guess I'm struggling with two questions: 1) is it worth it to wait another year to possibly go to a top 5-8 school versus a top 20 school, and 2) is it worth it to delay my life a year to possibly do better on the LSAT after a few more months of studying?

Take January LSAT or Wait?

Hello,

My name is Alec. I started studying for the LSAT in early November 2018 on a full time basis. My diagnostic score was a 150. After a month and a half of studying (CC completed and 4 PTs) I have raised my average to ~161. I am debating whether to sit for the January LSAT or wait a cycle and take it this march or this summer. I graduated with a 4.0 gpa with a degree in philosophy. Any advice or input would be appreciated. My gut tells me that it would be in my best interest to slow things down, get the best possible LSAT score when I'm ready, and apply early next fall. However, it's hard to know how much improvement can be expected in another 5-6 weeks.

Yours,

Alec

Hi everyone, thanks for the comments. In terms of taking the test, this sitting was far more “normal” for me than the last one. In terms of test difficulty, I have no idea how to feel. I think I went -0 in LG; probably -3/-5 in RC; probably -2 LR 1, and who knows on the last LR. Did any of you think the second one was a lot tougher?

I cannot help to keep thinking about LRs in this test. I had RC LR LG LR LG. With LR2 (the one with a one-way route/bike lane/bus Q), I had about 4-5 minutes to spare which never happened to me during PTs. When the closest to this happened to me was with PT73 LR1(I felt great about it, moved swiftly, and had ~3 min to spare), but turns out that I missed -9 in that section alone! I am really hoping that Monday's LRs are not difficult ones. Can anyone with a good grasp of LRs confirm or deny it?

BTW, my PT86 LRs were -6/-4. Thanks.

I thought the second LR was way tougher...

Anyone think that the second LR was way tougher than the 1st? Second had the questions about spiders, cheetahs, and buses.

Hybrid Logic Games frequency on LSAT

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew more the less the frequency of Hybrid Games in the Logic Games section of the LSAT??

So out of 4 Games, how many are likely to be Hybrid games? All of them, half of them, maybe one?

As I was practicing the PTs offered here in 7sage, I noticed that pretty much every single Logic Game in the more current exams are a Hybrid of sequencing, matching, and grouping and all of them were quite elaborate. None of them were exclusively sequencing, matching, or grouping. Is this how the LSAT will be? All Hybrid? If so it's fine I just would like to know if anyone has any insight or previous experience.
