LG was my main area in which I needed improvement. In June, I was only getting to 3 games per section and missing as much as 12 in a section. I studied pretty much nothing but games all summer. I now never miss more than 4 in a section. My goal score is 165 or above, so I don't have as much pressure as some of the people on this board. My first 2 PTs averaged 168, so I feel pretty good as of right now. I plan on hitting my weak areas in LR, doing a game section or 2 a day and 2 PTs a week. I'll have done a total of 10 PTs by game day, so I should have a pretty good idea of where I'll land.

@ Did you catch the bubbling error before you filled in the second half of the answers?

The funny thing is, I know I caught the error and corrected it. Just like you, I'm just starting to second guess every little thing.

The Wait Is Driving Me Insane.... Help

So I made a slight bubbling error during games. I caught it, corrected it, and moved on. Didn't think about it again until today. Now I'm eaten alive with paranoia that I messed up the at least half the section (the error happened about halfway down) and that I went -12 or -13 on LG.

Is this wait making me misremember things? Or did I f*** up my entire test?

Does anyone else have an experience like this?

A/B (10 point) Grading Scale

The undergrad institution I am about to graduate from has the 10 point, or A/B, scale. We do not have A+/- scale. I currently have a 3.93 GPA. Will the LSAC change my GPA? It shouldn't change based on the LSAC requirements, as I have not failed or retaken any classes. How does this work? Thanks.

@ What is the average amount of time between a game showing up on an experimental and it showing up on the actual test? Is it a guarantee that a given game on an experimental will show up on an actual?

@ So you're saying that the newer games are, as a rule, more familiar? There is a smaller chance now that something unfamiliar or new will show up on test day?

Newer LG Sections

Is it true that the newer LG sections are easier than usual? I've heard that the most brutal LG sections are in the early 2000s. Is there any truth to this? June and February 2016 test takers (if there are any left) what kind of games did you run into on the actual test?

@ thanks so much man!

If all who write the LSAT have a photo that meets the requirement, then

WLSAT -------> PMR

Let's just say that's a necessary condition that I don't want to fail.

Quick LOR Question

I am getting a LOR from my college band director. On the LOR form, it asks for recommender contact information, including an address. Do I put the address of the band hall, for example, or do I have to obtain the house address of the recommender?

Ahhh, I see your issue. You're getting way too bogged down in the excess distractor words (outside control, etc.) and you're not seeing through to the main argument. The correct answer is (D): If it's honest -------> profit making.

No one will subsidize honest journalism

S --------> /H

The contrapositive follows that if it's honest, it's not subsidized.

So then it follows that if it's not subsidized, then it's profit making. Which allows you to arrive at the correct answer, if it's honest, then it's profit making.

Hope this helps.

@ Thanks! It was definitely a big confidence boost.

I actually didn't BR this test. I know I know, it's the key to a higher score, but I only had a small window of time to take the PT and since it was my first PT out of the curriculum I was a little anxious to see how I did. I absolutely plan to BR every future PT. I started with 56 and I plan to take all the way up to PT 72 before test day.

I am a little worried that this PT is not representative of where I actually am score wise since the LG section was significantly easier than normal. I feel like my performance on the entire test hinges on LG.

I've foolproofed every game from PTs 18-29. I plan on foolproofing from 30-56 before test day. I normally do about 3 LG sections per day (my worst section) while also making my way through to rest of the LR and RC curriculum.

First PT 171. What's Next?

I am registered for the September LSAT and I scored a 171 (!!!!) on my first timed, proctored, new PT out of the curriculum (December 2008, PT 56). I realize consistency is key with this, so what are everyone's recommendations on how I should keep this going?

@.rizeq

Yeah, it's easy to think that, I just like to be optimistic lol.

Hey, someone has to be :) Maybe he just graduated from Harvard and is in Biglaw now. Who knows! He could be reading this post in his Gulfstream at 30,000 feet.

@.rizeq

I wonder what happened to this person...feels like I'm traveling back in time with this post lol esp. seeing they haven't logged back on in 3 years. Kinda creepy tbh haha.

I hate to be "that guy..." but that person probably just gave up on the idea of Law School. They just made that one post and it appears that they didn't even log back in after responding a couple of times. I mean, I guess they could have prepped with another company and just never looked at 7Sage again, but that seems unlikely for someone who went out of their way to make an account and join the community here.

Only the questions you answered are scored. The test is scored by adding up the number you got right, not by subtracting the number you got wrong. That way, if you aren't sure about a question, leaving it blank is the same as getting it wrong. There's 0 chance that that question will be right. That's why if you aren't sure or if you run out of time you need to guess.

Mississippi State University. Currently in my Senior year of undergrad there. We're in the SEC (Southeastern Conference) and our football team has an away game the day of the LSAT, so campus will be dead. The test is going to be administered in an academic building that I have had a lot of classes in, so it will be a familiar environment.

Logic Games - What's Next?

I purchased 7Sage about 2 months ago to help my prep for the September (and maybe, but hopefully not December) LSAT. My purchase of 7Sage was primarily driven by my weakness in Logic Games. I just completed the LG curriculum, and I have improved tremendously since starting. The 7Sage method is definitely the best and simplest method I have learned. I am, however, still struggling with timing. What should I do in these final six weeks to really be ready for test day? I've seen that some people just do full sections over and over again... what are your thoughts?

Thanks so much for the advice, guys! It's great to see fellow Mississippians and History majors on 7sage! Thanks also for the encouragement. I know it'll be a long road, but I feel confident in my abilities and I'm thankful that there are others going through similar challenges.

@ I saw your previous post about your testing center predicament. I certainly would not take the LSAT at Ole Miss on the weekend that they play Georgia. You're right in your assessment that it'll be chaos. The Grove will be packed, and I'm sure lubricated tailgaters will be using the bathrooms in the lobby of your testing center - bad idea.

Have you considered taking it in Starkville? State is away that weekend, and most of our students will be gone. The testing center on our campus is in the basement of a dorm. Don't be scared, though, it's quiet. Let me know if that's an option.

New to 7Sage, but not new to the LSAT.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let y'all know my general situation and ask for advice if you have any. I'm in between my junior and senior years of undergrad at Mississippi State with an anticipated Law School start date of Fall 2017. I will be graduating with a B.A. in History this December. I started studying for the LSAT in March. I went through Mike Kim's LSAT trainer, and I have a decent grasp LR (-4 or -5 per PT, I know I can improve) but I'm really struggling with Logic Games (-12 or more per PT, mainly as a result of time), which is how I arrived at 7sage. I was registered for the June LSAT, but was forced to cancel after a death in my family the week of the test. Is the the 3 months before the September test enough time to improve to -3 or -4 on Logic Games? My target schools are Alabama (Median of 163) and scholarship at Florida (157 median, 160 75th percentile). My highest PT so far has been 159/160. My UGPA is 3.93. I'm about 13% of the way through the core curriculum.
