If you have two test scores, do law schools take the highest score or the most recent?

Last week I took two practice tests and scored a 157 and a 156. A couple weeks prior to those, I scored a 161.
Fast forward to today, I just scored a 163. Are these types of fluctuations normal?? Im taking the August test and obviously would like to score in the 160's but I don't understand why my scores aren't consistent.
Reading comprehension has shown to be my weakest section, and I just cant finish all of the passages and questions within the 35 minutes. I am registered for the April test so I would really like to become more consistent and feel more confident going into RC, any suggestions?
following!
Is it possible to get into a school where your LSAT score is under the median but GPA is there , combined with a good personal statement? Anyone have experiences or know anyone that has gotten into a reach school?
interested!
Hi all,
I am scheduled to take the April LSAT but I will be switching it to June instead. I keep scoring between a 150-152 when ideally I would want a 155-160. At this point I am lost on how to improve. Reading comp is my worst section with LR right behind it. Any help, advise, or free tutoring would be very appreciated :)
Interested! I just took my first practice test after finishing the curriculum and got a 150. Logic games is my strongest section with logic reasoning being my worst - I have a lot of trouble. I am hoping to take the April test but need to up my score

Much like the above commenter I had LR-LG-RC-LG. I bombed the first LG but it seems that was experimental. Thank god. Third and fourth games killed me. The second one had a third game with romance and thriller movies, fourth game was fencing pairs. Felt way better about that set.
LR had swedish import shop, dark feathered bird, greek mythology dialogue question.
RC was symbiosis, privatization, nigerian literature and one other I'm not recalling. There seems to be another RC section floating around with a nigerian language passage and another on physics. Some are confusing the two.
I had the same LR section. How you think it was difficulty wise? I legit cant even remember how I think I did on it lol
I took the august flex this past weekend, it was my second time taking the lsat. I really have no clue how I did but everyone seems to be saying that it was a hard test which is making me nervous. Im worried Im gonna get the same score or worse, but then again I could have done better. The registration due date for October is before scores get released... if I sign up for October but am content with my score can I cancel and get refunded? Or If I want to retake can I take it in November and still apply on time? thanks
def interested! I just took the June test, going in scoring 160-161. Ideally I would like to retake in August in the high 160's as well
Is the writing sample topic on LSAC's website (about BLZ Stores) the actual topic or just an example?

Had LG-RC-LR-RC
Logic Games was stupid easy to me, blew by all the games without much difficulty and expecting -0.
RC, LR, and RC definitely more difficult. I feel like I did slightly better on the second set of RC but still wasn't a favorable experience. Definitely hoping I did better than I'm feeling I did on those, had to use every last second and was left unsure with a decent amount of questions.
Do you remember your LG topics by any chance? Specifically security guards as a 4th game
Just finished, I had: RC, LG, LG, LR. The first LG was the one with the security guards and it was so hard. I typically average -2/3 but I couldn't finish. Hope it was the expiermental
I take the exam on Sunday and don't plan on doing much before then. I do want to drill some misc. LG games though that have been weird or just hard (LG is my best section) just to keep my brain fresh and prepared. Anyone know any?

Just took it. My LG was incredibly easy compared to PTs. My RC seemed really difficult relative to my PTs, though. I had Locke/adult education, larvae vs ants, lying politicians, and copyright. I think I did really poorly on RC, and I'm praying that all my misses there are balanced out by a -0 LG. As for LR, I thought overall it was fine, but there were a few really tricky ones -- stealing wood from national park, low sodium diets, and more that I've blocked out of my memory already lol. LR seemed to be a toss up between really easy (like almost deceptively easy, causing me to do a lot of second guessing and probably choosing the wrong AC out of fear of falling into a trap) and really challenging. I think I was thrown in LR because usually the section increases in difficulty as the questions go on, but I thought a lot of questions were really hard right off the bat and then (deceptively?) easy towards the end. Anyway, best of luck to everyone! I'm gonna try not to obsess too much, but I'm sure I will...
we had the same exact exam. RC was super tough for me. Def dont feel confident about it
I just finished the test. My first section was RC and I dont know if it was the nerves causing me to not focus well or if the passages / questions were harder than usual, but I feel defeated by RC lol. LR and LG felt pretty normal??
Im def interested please!! Also taking the august exam and RC is the one section i really need to work on

@ every test has a predetermined curve. no need to pray for that. also...who is filling your mind with the nonsense that June LSATs are harder? Don't believe everything you read on the internet.
curious how the curve works for lsats?

Anyone have advice on what to study last minute? I take my test tomorrow at 11:30 am. don't want to burn myself out before then, just want to keep my mind refreshed.
following this !!

@ Im taking it tomorrow around noon, sorta nervous but i know i will need to retake because i do need more practice but want to take it anyway
Im in the same boat as you
how was the difficulty compared to the most recent PTS like may 2020?
I used it on the june flex
I take the exam on Sunday and im in need of some last minute tips. I dont plan on taking another PT but I will be drilling and taking individual sections over the next 3 days.
How do I tackle 4-5 level LR questions? On the PT I just took I got every question right except for the 6 questions that were 4-5 level difficulty. I thought I got them all right but I fell for every trap answer ):
Any suggestions on increasing RC score a couple points? Even if it is new strategies / how to eliminate wrong answer choices? Im awful at this section and have not been able to increase my score consistently. The best I've gone was -6 but just now I got -11.
I take the flex on Sunday in 2 days. The last time I took a PT was on Wednesday and it was my highest score so far. Should I take another PT today or end on that good note and just do practice problems for my weak points?
Im going to take one more PT this week before I test on Sunday. Anyone have suggestions on what PT to take (or a few to choose from) based on similarity to what August will be like?
I just took the May 2020 prep test and got a 161. I am excited about this because I had not reached the160s yet and it is the most recent prep test! However, lately, I am consistently getting 11 wrong on LR. If I could just get get four or five less wrong, I would be hitting mid to upper 160's which is my target. I specifically see that I need to work on flaw, strengthen, RRE, and MSS. Any tips or strategies for these?? I am scheduled for the June test on Sunday and haven't been doing this bad in LR until recently
Following! Weirdly enough im in the same boat as you. Scoring 153-155 but want in the 160s. Also get the same amount wrong for RC and LR

Are you able to finish all 4 passages under timed conditions?
@ I am able to finish all 4 under timed conditions but I get a lotttt more questions wrong. This was when I was just reading through the passages with no strategy. I just started doing them untimed with a focus on reading for structure and reading more actively but I've been taking my time to make sure I do it accurately. So I guess I need to figure out how to do it accurately under timed conditions by august
when I do RC untimed, I get -4 but when I do it timed I average -11. I have been using a new approach which helps me understand the passage more, but any suggestions on how to transition to do this timed by the August test?
@ said:
hey what strategy are you using?
So I've been using the underlining tool I found that by underlining as I read makes me read more actively and remember where things are in the passage. Then I jot down a little note of the structure of each paragraph. Before I go into the questions I make sure I know the main point and authors tone
RC is my weak section. I am retaking in August so im focusing heavy on it. I am using a new strategy (I was just flat out reading before, forgetting everything and getting lost). This strategy is working, I got -4 compared to -11 on a section. But im doing it untimed to make sure I do it properly.... any suggestions on how to slowly transition this into timed sections by the August test?
Curious on what to do for LR. When I do an untimed LR section, I only get a few wrong. When I do a timed section, I get a lot LOT wrong. I know this happens due to the time, I am just unsure how to fix this?
I recently posted on here about help and I was told to check my trends. 7sage is very helpful in showing trends based on PT's and what we need to work on...
For LR I need to focus on Flaw, Strengthen, and RRE. Desperately!! I have no idea how to attack these questions, I have not improved. I know if I get a handful more questions right on LR I will be at my goal score.
For RC I need to focus on inference and analogy.
Please any tips or strategies for any of these would be so appreciated :)
@ i have noticed a pattern of getting a chunk in the middle wrong and the last 4-5 questions as well.
I can definitely see my weaknesses are flaw, MSS, strengthen, and RRE. However, I have no idea how to increase my accuracy within the next 10 days
I am scheduled for the June test and just completed a prep test yesterday. I am always content with my LG score and my RC has gotten better. However, I got 14 wrong on the LR section. It seems like LR has gotten worse for me. 14 wrong?? Im in need of useful tips or strategies I can implement in these next two weeks as it is the one thing keeping me from my goal score.
I am starting to prepare for the August test after taken the June test. RC is my worst section and I wasn't really following a specific strategy before. Should I be focusing mainly on just structure, main point, and tone as im reading?
I am scheduled for the June test in about 2 weeks, and I am stuck at a score ranging from 156-158. I average -3 to -4 on LG and -9 on RC, however my LR score varies so much and not in a good way. Im in need of ways to get just a handful more questions right on LR to get my score to the 160s :/ Any tips or help is appreciated

I am in the same boat, also getting -11 to -12. Id love to chat too if you have any suggestions
I need inspo for my personal statement. All of a sudden I feel like im the most boring person ever and have nothing to write about. Also, I got a 153 on the June test but i was PT'ing 155-161 so I know I can do much better and im going to retake in August. Should I cancel the 153 since I have the option to?
also since it was my first test I have the option to cancel this score. should I cancel it? I know I can do better but not sure how it looks for law schools to see
I took the June test and got a 153 but I was getting155-161 on all PT's. I think it had to have been nerves as I couldn't remember anything after I took the test?? So I am obviously retaking in August. Is a 160 - 164 too high to shoot for?
Messaged! appreciate it
