I am interested! LR is my weakest section at this point. I score in the low to mid 160s.
I took the test this morning and I had LR LG LR and RC. I thought the first LR section was standard, the games were pretty straightforward too (I had a game on fencing matches, movies (can't remember the two others). The second LR section seemed difficult to me hoping that's the experimental one. I don't recall a monkey tokens question on either section but I did have the Norway/Sweden perishable goods question on the second LR section. RC was Nigerian languages, Ansel Adams photography, prosecutorial misconduct and, a quantum physics comparative passage. Both the second LR and RC seemed difficult to me.
I started with a 140 on the diagnostic and ended up scoring a 162 on the actual test last July. While mine is not one of those 140 to a 170 on the actual test kind of a story (just yet at least), I think with consistent practice improving upon your score is not impossible. Focus on mastering games first (I went from scoring anywhere between 5-8 to missing 2-3 questions all thanks to 7 Sages's Foolproofing method). The key to LR and RC too is a lot of practice to the point where you start recognizing the patterns in all the questions.
I am 35 and I work full time. I took the LSAT in 2019 (scored 159) and in 2020 (scored 162). Registered to take it again in August this year. If I don't get the score I want, I might take it again next year. As cliched as it sounds, age is just a number. I personally think I can handle pressure a lot better now than I did in my 20s. Just keep at it and remember, you will only get older so you cannot let that weigh you down.
Took my test on 9/2. The order was RC,LR and,LG.
I thought RC was the most difficult section. The passages I got were:
Jackie Ormes' comic strip
Micro-financing and banking in Bangladesh and Indonesia
Universe expansion (the most difficult passage in this section in my opinion)
Different types of property ownership
LR seemed pretty standard to me.
The games were pretty standard too. The third game I got was the 12 slots, five activities game. While it was certainly atypical, I did not find it to be very difficult. Definitely something you can attack if you have been practicing and fool-proofing a lot of games.
I had no problems with the test or the proctor.
Overall, we did it! One test out of the way. Good luck to everyone with the scores. I am definitely taking the test again. My biggest takeaway is that training to calm your nerves is just as important as the test content itself.
I am interested. I am taking the Flex in August but registered for November as well. PTing in the 163-165 range right now.
