For question 1, how is answer choice A supported in the passage?
Nowhere in the passage does it state that the oil companies are the ones conducting the research.

Can anyone explain to me how A is correct? I don't see the idea of a "comprehensive approach" being discussed in the passage. From my understanding, the passage is letting us know that the current approach - the piecemeal approach - is not working. How are you able to infer from this that a comprehensive approach could be successful?

I feel like answer choice B should say "the advance of technology" and not "the advance of medicine." Since it is the technology that gives rise to ethical dilemmas, not the medicine.
