This question really bugs me and I still don't totally understand why A is wrong. Seems like it misinterprets most in a very similar way to the passage. I now understand that B is probably better but not sure how I would've eliminated A. Is it all about this year vs. more than a year bs?

This question became laughably easy for me (literally laughed out loud) when JY pointed out that after thus was referring to the valley and not the preserve.

@DavidCutie Arguably, though, if most of the bears in the valley (over 50%) lived in the preserve before the road closed. And then the population doubled. The population of the valley can't have stayed the same (I guess it says nearly doubled and is unclear on whether most lived there before or after the road closed).

Not sure I'm understanding the question but during blind review all the questions will show up as blank. In order to complete blind review, though, you only need to re-answer the questions that are circled in pink. Am I understanding your question correctly?

This strikes me as more helpful than fretting about the structure of the question

Am I the only one annoyed by A? It's logic works. Rights and duties are distinct. You can have both the right to do one thing and the duty to do the opposite. Unlike the question where you actually cannot answer all questions truthfully and keep all promises.
