Thanks for doing this! I was wondering if there's anyway you can post a recap or record what you teach on Zoom for the rest of us who can't make it? 8pm ET is 5pm where I am, so unfortunately I'll be working every Tuesday at that time. Thanks!

This feels more like an SA question than a NA question

Resume Question (hours?)

I just went through the Resume portion of the admissions course and have a couple questions I hope someone can help me with:

A couple of schools I'm applying to ask to include hours: "the number of hours you spent on those activities" & "the number of hours, and the dates of employment." Anyone have experience with this? Including hours isn't mentioned in the admissions course and I have no clue how to go about it. Do they want a total # of hours? or hours per week/month? Do I include it as a bullet point?

Some of the activities and jobs were years long so I find including hours so random and difficult to fit in.

David recommends putting academic "awards" and "honors" in the Education section. I was wondering if anyone has included this under a separate "Awards & Honors" section instead? In my opinion it looks a lot neater when I just put my major and minor and then at the end of my resume include an Awards & Honors section with Dean's List (+ explanation of what it is), President's List (+ explanation of what it is) and other awards.

Not gunna lie i did not know what prudent meant before this question. Am i embarrassed? Yes. Did that cause me to get the question wrong? Yes. But do I now know a new word AND learned my mistake AND won't repeat it on the real thing? Yes.

HOW is this a one-star difficulty question? I thought this was actually pretty tough. Kept going back & forth between B & C and burned time. This felt like a 3-4 star question towards the end of the test. Also JY's explanation doesn't makes sense to me...

It's definitely not just you! in my opinion LR in 70s/80s feel different because it's not as cookie cutter and the ACs aren't as clear. I wish I had looked at those LR Qs sooner before my test because the real thing (Nov) was similar. I think practice/familiarity is key. So keep drilling those. You got it!

LR questions stems are super repetitive, so as I became more familiar with the lsat i got faster at identifying the stems. So leading up to, and on the actual real lsat, I simply glanced at the question stem for 5 seconds. That was enough time to realize what type of LR Q I was answering and how to read the stimulus.

I read the stimulus very differently depending on the question. Like you said, if i just have to find the conclusion I'm not going to read it the same as I would for a PSA question.

To get faster at identifying LR stems, make a quizlet or flashcards. I did this everyday for like 20 minutes for weeks. It's worth it. In my opinion this is the best strategy.

Bullshit that they're using purpose and reason as interchangeable when on a different question this would the reason why an AC is wrong.

My problem with this question is:

B states "began", so we have to assume that they completed the road projects or even followed through with it. I thought the choice of word "began" was meant to trip us up. Just because they began a road project 5 years ago, doesn't mean it's finished or that they even completed any roads.

I see why E could be the right answer, but I still feel like B is the better answer because of the wording...

So, if I understand correctly. A is wrong because it's in the context, they are stating the particular cave that the bats they studied live in. It does not play a role in the argument. I fell for this trap.

Wow, tons of assumptions to be made in this MBT.

I thought we learned early on that if something is "not hot" doesn't mean it's "cold", it just means it's "not hot".

So for this question, unpopular wouldn't mean popular, there are tons of assumptions being made because just because something is not unpopular doesn't mean it automatically becomes popular.

Because of this, I immediately crossed off E, because it's making an assumption that just because something is not unpopular, it becomes popular.
