Hi guys, quick question.
Is "questioning an opponents authority to address the issue under discussion" the same as "questioning the qualifications" of the person making an argument/hypothesis?
#help
#help Does anybody have advice on how to get better at spotting the correct answer/problem with the argument in these very subtle arguments? #help
reading each answer choice made my head explode but i got the right one!
#help so basically the correct answer choice for this type of question (MBF) has to directly contradict the information in the stimulus?
Even if an answer choice talks about bunnies when the stimulus is about planes, that is considered being compatible? because it does not directly go against the information in the stimulus....? #help #help #help
correlation is a statistic. it is not absolute it is not a conditional statement. Correlation allows for non-conforming data points. Which is why answer choice A and D do not weaken the argument.
Thank you so much Paula!
Thank you for all the advice!
This question's stimulus took me out
Hi guys,
I'm having a hard time being able to identify game types and knowing what game board setup to use. I recently just started studying for the logic game section and i'm guessing maybe the only way to learn this is it with practice/experience BUT, I'd like to know if anyone else had trouble with this as well and if any particular tips helped with identifying the game type and board setup.
From what LSAT/PrepTest is the grouping game discussed in this episode?
I hope someone is able to tell me
Hi guys,
Has anyone listened to the latest episode of the 7Sage podcast published on October 10th titled "Building Better Boards - Tips for Logic Games"? If there's someone here that has listened to it and knows from what PrepTest the grouping game discussed is please let me know.
Thank you :)
#help can someone please give me an example of an argument that fits the description of C looks look?
#help okay so hypothesis always = the conclusion? #help #help
ugh i knew A was right as soon as i read it but i was too tempted by B because i couldn't understand HOW it strengthen the argument and so i decided to go with B unfortunately. damn.
AC E is correct because it doesn’t strengthen nor weaken the argument.
The argument is that the is reason to be skeptical about the conclusions of the magazine.
So, AC C is a contradiction to what the magazine’s survey states, which would cause skepticism, which, in turn, strengthens the argument.
Good for you Naruto!!!! Your perseverance is very inspiring, thank you for sharing. Congratulations on achieving a 162 and i wish you the best in the next steps of your journey in becoming an attorney.
It was answer choice A that TRAPPED me. I sorta understand that the reason why A is the wrong choice is because it really does not explain the real point at issue which is the increase commute time for workers IN downtown... but i'm having a hard time really scratching off why A doesn't explain that paradox. The way i understand the meaning of answer choice A is, since most people who work in downtown G commute from one of the suburbs... doesn't that mean that because there's so many cars (from the most workers who work downtown & live in the subs) on the new highway, doesn't that mean that there's more cars getting off the highway and into the downtown area therefore there's congestion in the downtown area and therefore that explains the increase in commute time once in downtown??? So basically the way i understand it is that answer choice A gives the same explanation that answer choice E gives. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME #help #help
WOW the key to getting this question correct is emphasizing the fact that the question stem says"the most support for the claim". it is okay to make the stretch in AC B.
Okay i actually got this question right but can someone please #help me know what would an unrepresentative sample look like on the stimulus of an LR question? #help #help #help
#help Does the word 'policy' in the LSAT mean principle? #help
#help When the word policy is mentioned in the answer choices of a method or flaw question, what's a good way of checking/knowing if a "policy"was even discussed in the stimulus?
Hi, i live in Wyoming and that is where I plan on applying to. I'm curious to know if there's anyone else on here who is applying to University of Wyoming Law?
Damn i was stuck between answer choice A and D and sadly went with D. UGH. what got me is that i interpreted "but also genuine interaction with them' as an alternative solution which is what D states.
Did this happen to anyone else? please let me know how that does not count as an alternative solution and what "various alternative solutions are possible for a single problem" would actually look like in a stimulus/argument. #help #help #help #help
#help is providing an alternative explanation the same things as using a parallel case? for example when an answer choice reads "questioning a claim about why something is the case by supplying an alternative explanation" or if it reads "cites facts that tend to weaken the force of the evidence with which the author supports her/his conclusion/hypothesis".
are those two the equivalence of answer choice C in this problem? - "Uses a parallel case to illustrate a weakness in the ornithologist's argument"
are they the same method of reasoning?
#help #help #help
So I kinda picked up on the flaw because D did look attractive but I didn't choose it because I couldn't really understand what it actually meant. can someone please breakdown AC D? how is it actually saying that it confuses routine with NEVER? #help #help
