The way I though about it was if there are 100 etching tools and 50 are pin-tipped and 50 are bladed (as per the correct answer B stating there are as many as each) then those 50 pin-tipped will all be used for engraving and at least one of the bladed etching tools will be used for engraving (as per the stimulus saying "some"). This would put it at 51 etching tools would be used for engraving and therefore consistent with the conclusion that there are more etching tools that are used for engraving than not (as per the 51:49 ratio in my example)
