MSS will ask "Which of the following is most strongly supported by the argument", whereas a strengthened question if it is phrase similarly, will read "Which of the following, if true, provides the most support for the argument above." Or something like that. So, basically, to know whether it is MSS or strengthen you have to ask yourself which part of the question are you being asked to take as 100% true. If it's the stimulus, it's MSS; if it's the answer choices, it's a Strengthens question.
