I would proceed by asking which question you are asking about. Once I've figured that out I would then try to explain it to you

Any Students Like Me?

My absolute best lsat work comes about 4-6 hours into a full day of studying. Right now I'm coming up with workshops of laid back lessons and section reviews that I've done a million times to transition me into my test on Sunday (3:30). I'm planning on reviewing for 3-5 hours before taking the test and yeah, I know that there are plenty of people that would label me a psychopath, but since we have this score preview/cancel option (first time taker) I don't see why I shouldn't go with my gut and do this. The main reason I think this will work for the flex is because I can transition almost instantly from workshopping to the test with no change of environment. Lastly, the only time I absolutely bomb sections is when I just hop into it with little or no review. Any other students like this or similar approaches that have worked?

Waiting for In-Person LSAT

Who else is waiting to take the traditionally administered LSAT once it returns? I feel like I'm at a disadvantage with the flex because LR is consistently one of my best sections and feel rushed with the 60 second breaks. Is there anyone who is or is thinking about holding off their application cycle because of this? Also, does anyone think admissions offices will react differently to applicants later in the cycle given the drastic immediate changes to the exam this year?

PT 20 S3 G4 and PT 24 S3 G4. Second game is my favorite of the two.

Anyone Else Read This?

I remember the first time I read through this article I couldn't stop thinking about it. Started reading through it almost every night at some point. I got in the habit of writing down “slow is smooth, and smooth is fast”, in my notes over and over. Definitely recommend checking out this guys journey, thoughts?

Also, I found the Logic Games portion he covered the most interesting. Just imagine the advantage you'd have on the lsat flex if you could consistently ace every logic games section during a point in your prep and then be able test in the comfort of your own home.

I just cancelled my August score yesterday and it finally clicked in my head that patience is the absolute key. I tried my hardest to force it and that only resulted in obsession and extreme burnout that caused my scores to bomb. My best advice for you would be to slow it down, put more focus into deeply reviewing every section and seriously, don't ever skip reviewing, even if you pt 180 (this was my biggest problem). You've only been going since June, this path can be long and mentally draining so don't stress yourself out early. Also, I'd keep it at or under 2 practice tests a week then turn up the dial if you feel comfortable. Some amazing comments/advice in this thread.

I'm not too sure about the professional experience but being a D1 athlete at an Ivy League institution will look absolutely stellar in my opinion. It shows that you're extremely disciplined and can succeed with an intense regime/workload, which are common traits of top tier law students.

Definitely do it. The best way to get better at interviews is by doing more interviews in my opinion. Your numbers are elite numbers so you shouldn't be doubting yourself. Just be genuine, pump up your confidence, and you'll be perfect. Remember, it's just a conversation. Good luck!

I usually start explaining groups 1 and 2 of conditional logic indicators. After you've completely lost them you get to say something like "yeah, that's one of the simple concepts"

A Little Contradicted

So the registration for the June LSAT closes tomorrow night and I was wondering if I could get some quick insight from this amazing community. I would feel comfortable taking the June Flex-LSAT as of right now but I would feel even better waiting for July. I understand that score cumulation is of no issue and I figured, might as well get one under my belt because I will be participating in either the June/August or the July/August dates, or maybe even all three if I'm feeling hardcore. The thing that worries me is the LSAT Flex, I've heard horror stories relating to the recently implemented tablet LSAT, so I think it might be wise to sit back and observe the experiences of students who will have taken the Flex this month before deciding which date to pursue. Who else in this bizarre situation?

Finally, I want to be able to participate in the Flex at least once and my friend who is a full time healthcare worker (Works E.R.) says there's very little possibility the test will be administered normally in July for my state.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I scored higher on the November test than any PT I've taken simply by not giving a fuck on test day. Look at your break as a refresh, not a setback

You have no reason to be down on yourself. My grandpa always used to tell me PMP, practice makes perfect, advice that fits perfectly into this section. Find enjoyment in the practice and you will succeed in logic games.

Numerical Distributions in Logic Games

So I've been working on really getting good at recognizing all the potential numerical distributions in certain logic games and I wanna know how some of you are going about dealing with them. When exactly is the best time to go about figuring out all of the potential distributions? Or better, how do you know when finding out the distributions will actually prove as beneficial and not a waste of time? Does anyone think it is never a waste of time to do them every time possible (if you're really good at logic games)? Powescore says it's a critical tool which I agree with but how consistent are you supposed to be with using this "critical tool".

I think you just over complicated eliminating B. The answer choice needs to match the group leaders principles two qualities 1. take the steps to comply 2. be met with government inaction.

B - The principle states that there needs to be inaction but says the zoning board clearly made an action to restrict the construction of the bowling alley, contradicting the first part of the principle.

For this to be a proper contrapositive she would need to not be acting in good faith as well to match the contraposed logic structure. Bowling alley/secret fight club maybe instead of positive recreational impact.

Good faith -> Met with Inaction -> Do it

Con: Do it -> Met with Inaction -> Good Faith

E - No legal action taken against the physician = inaction. Met all the requirements to practice = good faith. Meets both requirements so this is a 100% match.

Good faith -> Met with Inaction -> Did it

Definitely a strange and wordy early LR question

Moving From Setup to Questions

Would like to hear some of your approaches to navigating through more difficult logic games. The thing I struggle with the most is knowing the right time to move on from game-board setup to the first question. I find that I'll consistently move on too early to avoid the feeling of lost time and knowing that there's probably an acceptable situation question first sometimes makes me want to move onto the questions prematurely. So basically what I'm wondering if you're stumped by a game should you spend the more of your time on a detailed setup or keep pace and move through the questions for potential inferences.

I can confidently say you'll barely have any trouble, just write an effective addendum. A vast majority of applications will exclude parking/driving infractions unless they directly resulted in a misdemeanor or felony charge. As for the single misdemeanor, I heard a story about a successful applicant with 6 and it seems pretty common that felonies are what heavily impact decisions. The most important thing to consider is that it will slightly set you back from other students with the same numbers so make sure your application is the best you can do. Disclose the misdemeanor in every application as well, there have been attorneys kicked from the bar because they withheld infractions during their law school application process.

I understand the reasoning for D but can't shake off E, never even considered B. How is claiming the estimate is a "gross exaggeration" not an attack on its precision? #help

I finished every section early when I took in August which was terrible because I've never done that before. Bombed the hell out of it and cancelled. I think you're in a good spot because when you were crunched for time you didn't mindlessly rush. When I was in that same position as you I just blacked out and started clicking like a psychopath lol.

@ Seq w/ twist is my best game type now (Better than pure sequencing for some reason lol). Getting that last game from PT24 fool-proofed was a huge cornerstone for me, it changed my perception of double layer sequencing games as a whole. Hope it can do the same for you.

this was the precise problem set where my confidence was shattered. I literally can't even foolproof some of them. Or maybe I can't bring myself to. Fine distinction. lol.

I've done this set 13 times so it definitely took a while to click lol

Take some unused LR sections and drill 1-10/1-15 with at or under a minute per question. I'm telling you it's magic.

Can you expand on that a little?

Definitely, they're called confidence drills. You just take any LR section and run through as many questions as you want limiting yourself to a minute or less for each. I started off focusing on 1-10 at or under 10 minutes and I just hit my personal best of -1 from 1-15 on PT84. I think they could help you out significantly. PM me if you need more info.

Many think that the PT's in the 80's are most representative of the current tests, which I completely agree with. I used tests from 1-40 as foundational work then everything from 40-May '20 I have been using for PT'ing. Best advice I have, don't burn through the 80's too fast and don't think you have to take PT's in a linear order. As for difficulty, there's a ton you can take away from older tests, for example PT's 1-10 are known to be the most difficult logic games sections and are great for mastering miscellaneous games.

Taking a drink of ice cold water can help refocus but that's usually just a quick fix. Maybe try lowering caffeine intake or consuming more nutritious foods? The smartest person I know hasn't eaten sugar in 20 something years, crazy right? Another thing to try that I think could help immensely, next PT focus on your breathing habits and monitor your heart rate. Improper air intake can have some insanely negative consequences in terms of cognitive function and focus.

August FLEX - Bee's and Patriotism

I know it might be a little late but did anyone else have the August RC section with the bee's passage and the patriotism/ecocentrism comparative passage? I'm starting to think that it was one of the hardest reading comp sections I've ever seen and am wondering how others felt about it? The comparative passage could've been written in Sumerian and I would've had a better shot. Did anyone have this section and do well?

Specific Reference RC questions

Any tips on Specific Reference RC questions? These are consistently the only questions I miss when doing RC passages and if I can improve my efficiency on these I'll see really solid improvement on my RC section scores. I've been reading passages from my monitor while notating on scratch paper to accommodate for the Flex but I recall seeing that Specific Reference questions will be different in some way on the Flex but don't quite recall how. Thoughts?

Did you get the reading comp section with bee's and ecocentrism? August was also my first take and we are in pretty much the exact same position. The only difference is that I recently canceled November to get the coupon and am waiting until next cycle to accept a seat. Since then I've taken a full month off and just started very laid back prep this week. I'm getting more questions right than I ever have. Early September I took this trip to Michigan and saw the clearest night sky and have absolutely been in a better mental state since. Best advice that I got? You're not defeated, you're just impatient and stressed (It's crazy how much this post sounded like me 2 weeks ago). Get some friends or family together and go somewhere quiet and peaceful. Got a dream vacation in mind?

Confirm action

Are you sure?
