I've heard many people say LG "clicked" for them when they began doing them excessively in a short amount of time. For me it took foolproofing PTs 1-35 for me to get down to -3 and below each time I do a PT or timed section. I think I saw the most progress when I started going for 8+ games a day repeated twice (following @ 's LG Attack strategy). Now when I do new games, I don't start sweating and even when I don't understand the rules I don't start panicking.

@ I'll see how I do come September  And I'm not aiming for 180... haha just my lowest BR score or close to it. Thanks for the advice!

@ Let us know if you do ED to NU! Yes, even thought it isn't a full ride I would take on a little loan if it was for NU  I love Chicago. And I know BR score isn't telling of what I'll do on test day to the tee, but I would like to get my actual score closer to at least my lowest BR score. I've read other threads where they talk about big gaps between actual and BR score, and most of them say focus on doing a lot of timed sections and PTs. Which I've been doing! Ugh. Time is the enemy here. Trying to defeat it best I can.

Hi! Somewhere around Mission Valley/Clairemont would be ideal. We could even study at the USD library.

Study Group in San Diego

Hello San Diegans,

I'm looking to start a study group in San Diego where we can BR together either in person or on video chat. I've found BR calls on 7sage to be very helpful and I would love to do something similar with local LSAT students. It would probably be once every two weeks and we can BR full PTs and/or timed sections.

Hi! I also couldn't choose my preferred test center for the September test and signed up for Junipero Serra. Overall it was a good experience! For one thing, it has free parking available right in front of the test taking location. They divide students into different classrooms and each class is monitored by a few proctors. The only problem is that the classrooms have different types of desks and chairs. Thankfully I had a big desk shared with just one person 2 seats away. But another classroom had those really small two-in-one desks with a chair attached to it.

Putting together a comprehensive and cohesive application takes a lot of time especially when considering additional scholarship essays. So depending on how far along you are in that process it may make more sense to wait.

This speaks to me. I have been so focused on LSAT studies that I've yet to start any applications and don't want to rush them either. I want to give them at least as much thought as I'm giving the LSAT. I feel you about having that big conversation! My partner is also older than I am, but he is OK with postponing a wee babe. I really hope to be in the same situation as you, where I feel more ready for the test and the admissions process! I know what a relief it must be for everything to feel as if they are going at the right pace. Persistence is key  Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and good luck on the test!!!

@ I will definitely look deeper into what other schools offer. And you are absolutely right. LSAT is the only thing I should be focusing on right now. With all these other amazing comments, I've come to the conclusion that I will do my best in September, and if I'm not happy with my score then I will take it again either in January or March, work for another year and apply next cycle. I don't think November is a better option for me, because it doesn't seem like enough time will have passed after the September test for me to have a guarantee on a higher score.

It seems like my emphasis on delaying for a year shouldn't be as big of a deal as I originally thought it was... my stress might have exaggerated the dilemma

@ @ @ @ Good luck on the LSAT!! Thank you

#help

Some have said that (A) attacks the premise, others say it doesn't. This is a conundrum for me because I thought that (A) was attacking the conclusion. We're not supposed to attack Goku or the car, only thin out Goku's kamehameha beam.

(A) says short term therapy only gave clients immediate symptom relief. This seemed to be attacking the conclusion that ANY client improvement must be the result of a common aspect of psychotherapy. ANY including immediate symptom relief. What am I missing?

@ I didn't know ED could be a bad move for scholarships! :open_mouth: I wanted to apply ED to Northwestern since they have a merit-based $150k scholarship. My goal is a full ride. Although I would love to aim high for NU or other T14 I know that realistically, going to a top regional school with a full ride is a great choice.

And thank you for the new information!!

Should I be patient and apply next cycle?

After learning that the September LSAT is the last score you can submit for early decision, I am now contemplating whether I should hunker down, achieve my fullest potential score and apply for next cycle. I am scoring in the 160s while BR is 173-180. It pains me to see such a big gap every time between actual and BR scores. I am taking the September test and will do my absolute best on it, however, I'm afraid it might not reflect my best potential score (which I understand to be the BR scores).

The reason I am hesitating on waiting to apply next cycle is TIME. I had my heart set on starting school next fall, graduating, start working and then think about starting a family with my husband. All of this would be pushed back a year, and I've come to realize how valuable time really is. I am in my mid-20s and have work experience in journalism. I also need to get scholarships and my goal from the beginning of my LSAT journey has always been a full ride.

With all that said, should I wait and apply next winter? Should I apply for regular admissions this cycle with my September score? Sign up for November?

The weight of my future feels especially heavy this morning. Any input will be greatly appreciated :)

Anyone else have LR-RC-LR-LR-LG and screw up on the one section that wasn't the experimental then kill the experimental section? I'm freaking out.

raises hand I (mistakenly) thought I was sensing an experimental vibe from the hard section bc of all the weird questions! I had picked up such good momentum from the first two sections and was high off the thrill of it and then BAM. Rotting wood ink. Desert fleas. Hating on dog people. Why?? Why?? :(

How are we all doing the morning after? This is the first time I've slept past noon in.. only God knows how long. I went to Target last night and bought 2 Ben and Jerry's, hot Cheetos, various chocolates and Oreos. Anybody else going to treat yo self? I've also started noticing things that haven't interested me in months. Like new clothes. The second season of the Handmaid's Tale. The Incredibles 2. Books I bought but haven't read yet. It feels like my life had been put on hold while studying for the lsat.

Does anyone know which LR is experimental for this sequence:

LR(26)-RC-LR(26)-LR(25)-LG

Thanks.

Some are saying the 1st section, others are saying the 3rd section (2nd LR). I also read even if you have the same sequence, the experimental can be in different spots.

Ah, I see. That was my only hope of figuring out which LR is experimental. I can't remember which section had what questions, too many questions. Only LR question I remember for sure is that Section 2 had a difficult disagree question about pharmaceutical patents, early question too. And so, the wait begins...

My info could be wrong though! I just snuck a peak at Powerscore's board and saw a lot of all kinds of speculations. But I remember that question so that section is probably real. The one with one about the desert fleas?

Was the LR with question about apartments in old buildings real?

Yes that one was real!

Thanks! But ugh I thought that one was experimental bc the questions felt really weird.... like the dogs/cats one.. and the MBF question about liking people and respecting them. Gahhh.

The LG games are all so time-consuming! I usually finish early -0 with at least 5 min to spare and I missed two on this one...

That's exactly what happened to me!!! I had to draw so many sub game boards for the o/r/v game! Just me? Was anyone able to split the boards?

What are the standards for reporting a proctor to LSAC? This lady actually tapped me on my shoulder during middle of Section 1 to tell me my Advil (that she had confiscated) was actually allowed and that she was going to leave it next to my desk. Wtf WHY WOULD YOU INTERRUPT A PERSON TAKING THE LSAT??? ?

Besides that, I had LR as my experimental. The games section thankfully didn't have any weird games but I felt like most were very time consuming ? even though LG is my strongest section.

LG - musicians and o/r/v [admin note: too specific, read OP]

RC - 14th amendment, domestication of horses, music, plate tectonics

@ the last we checked with a 1st gen Apple Pencil (about two weeks ago) on 1st gen iPad Pro it worked without any issues. It looks like the LSAC tester treats the Surface Go stylus the same as a finger. Our tester should also behave that way. E.g. using a pencil is the same as using a finger.

This is exactly what I wanted to know -- whether the Apple Pencil would work on the 7Sage & LSAC's digital tester. Sorry for causing any confusion! Thank you!!

Is the digital LSAT compatible with the Apple Pencil? Can we highlight, underline, select answer choices, etc. with it just as you are able to do with a Surface Go stylus? I've read that the Apple Pencil is only compatible with certain apps (unless when used on iPad Pros) but since the digital LSAT practice exams are on the Web... will all the functions still work?

I hope the above made sense. I'm just trying to avoid making the wrong purchase :')

When to bubble in those unanswered questions

I've heard of different strategies on when to bubble in guesses for the questions you skipped and wanted to know which people tend to prefer doing. It also freaked me out after hearing about someone getting kicked out during testing because he was caught bubbling in guesses for a previous section.

  • Bubble in guesses at the 5 minute mark.
  • Bubble in guesses at the start of the next section.
  • Bubble in guesses after all 5 sections.
  • and the most preferred, but often unattainable method - solve all skipped questions in the time remaining.

    Free Princeton Review PT

Hi everyone! First post since becoming a 7Sager last week :)

Does anyone know if the free proctored prep test that Princeton Review periodically provides is the same test each time? I went to a free event months ago (it turned out to be the June 2007 PT) and am signed up for the upcoming test this Saturday.

    I misinterpreted (C).

I thought that if utility rates in T are lower than C, it doesn't make sense that people in C are spending more bc why would you crank up the heater if it's more expensive? So I thought this doesn't do anything to resolve the paradox and chose it.

The actual point of (C) is that utility rates are different. Thus, even if people in C are using the heater less or the same or more than people in T, the former's utility bills will likely be always higher.

For this type of question stem (which is LEAST compatible), there are 4 could be true answer choices and 1 must be false answer choice. Right?

    Confirm action

    Are you sure?
