Q 19: I see how AC A is supported by key phrases in the passage, but when I was scanning the passage I could not see any common sense way as to how comedians would recoup the costs associated from a stolen joke by social sanctions. My main question was who would be paying them? That's not stated within the passage so I eliminated - not sure if I was thinking about this way too literally.

Hi! I almost eliminated AC A for the same reason. For one, eliminating the other ACs helped me re-evaluate the AC A, and once I re-read the last paragraph again, you can see that Gilman does say that future progress 'requires' the restoration of balance with a move away from predominantly combative personality traits. With that said, I thought that by continuing to rely on "male traits such as combat, assertiveness (etc)" would be harmful/detrimental to Gilman's view of what future progress should look like.

(I hope this makes sense, it was a really tough question so I spun it in a way that made sense to me)

I thought that too at first, but after rereading what the campaign was trying to get ppl to do: they say to avoid public spaces when ppl are experiencing influenza symptoms. If there were fewer public gatherings during the 6 month period (as C says) + we assume that ppl are heeding the campaign and avoiding public places because they're experience the flu, then that would almost contradict the premise that influenza was much lower in those 6 months.

Hi! Not sure if I'm too late, but I had the same issue with A and this is how I ultimately understood it: If you read the first sentence as a rule, "Whenever you subcontract the manufacturing of a product, you must lose some control over the quality of that product" and the president says that their company only subcontracts to companies that have complete control, that means that the companies that are subcontracted cannot further subcontract. If they did, that would mean that they are also losing some amount of control (because of the rule in the first sentence), and according to the pres these subcontracted companies technically have complete control. (I hope this helps in any way, also cool Ichigo pfp)

I think I subconsciously chose D because that's how I operate in my own workplace 😓💯, have to remember that I should not allow my outside experiences to drive my AC decision making

@matthewcsorrels859 Thanks so much for the advice and for taking the time to write a response. I think it's kind of what I knew all along, but I really needed to hear it from someone else, also the stats really help add some reality to my wishful thinking 😅

Since I've already dedicated a year to getting a 170+ score, I think I'm going to push back to August to give myself a little more time. Now that I'm really seeing it all laid out, I don't want to take the time to apply and leave everything to chance.

Thanks again!! Best of luck in your studies.

Hi everyone, I've been really overthinking this the past couple of months and decided to come on here for advice.

I took the January LSAT this year and got a 164. In community college I received a 3.9 GPA, transferred to UC Berkeley, and got a 4.0 GPA there. I really want to get into a T-14 (actually want to go back to Berkeley or get into Stanford/UCLA), I know my GPA is in pretty good standing but my LSAT score is on the lower side.

After taking the January LSAT, I registered for the June LSAT with the intention of getting above a 170.

That being said, I'm feeling really burned out after studying for a year while working a full-time job. I am still scoring in the mid 160s (but also BRing in the mid to high 170s). I've seen some suggestions on here to treat the LSAT as a full-time job and take a break from working, but my income right now is supporting two other ppl in my family so that's not an option for me at the moment :/ I think the burnout I feel is not just because of the LSAT but because of familial obligations, getting as much OT I can at work, etc.

Anyways! I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for me? Here are my options as I see it:

  • I push back the LSAT to August and push really hard to PT at the 170s range beforehand.
  • Say "f it" and take the June LSAT and hope for a 170+ score.
  • Apply to T-14s with what I have now and hope for the best (scholarship money is a big factor for me but maybe I'll just take the L on being in debt for some years idk).
  • Thanks everyone! I'll really appreciate anyone who takes the time to respond to this.

Hi! It looks like I've missed the first meeting day but I was wondering if I can still join this group? I am planning on retaking the LSAT in June.

I think its because the argument is about biological predisposition to certain music intervals, if the experiment babies had been exposed to music prior to the study it would make the argument pretty weak (since they already have learned experience w music rather than it being a biological predisposition)

    hope this helps!
