When to take final PT before LSAT?

How close before your test day are you planning to take your final PT? For example, I'm taking the October flex on the 8th. I'm considering taking a PT on the 3rd, and then taking the 4th-7th completely off. I'm hoping to experience the effect where people hit a new personal best score after taking a few days off from studying. Does this seem like a good strategy? Should I take the PT closer to the test or further?

Thanks for your input. Good luck!

I personally would not print the games. It would waste more paper and it would actually be less like real testing conditions, since the test is digital and you get blank scratch paper to write on. I believe they print on two pages because when the test was last on paper, you got two pages per game.

That makes a lot more sense! No wonder they are always longer than the time under the videos haha. Thank you

LG target time disparities

Why are the target times (LG) under the video explanations often different from the target time listed in the "timing" column in the results panel? It seems like the latter are almost always a little longer. I have been going off the ones under the videos, but it is very difficult. Which do you reference?

Thanks

@ yeah, half an our seems like a good period to wait. I'll try that! Good point abou running out of games. I should probably keep that in mind because I am terrible at games lol and I wouldn't want to run out before mastering them. Thanks for the advice!

I missed this question because I failed to distinguish between "books written" (what it says) and "books published" (how I processed it). Anyone else?

How to foolproof correctly?

Hi everyone,

I am confused about how long I should be waiting between doing a game and then repeating that same game. In the foolproof method video, JY seems to imply that you do the game back to back, over and over in the same sitting/day.

Do you prefer to do the same game multiple times in one day or wait 24+ hours before repeating the game?

Thanks!

I don't understand why #18 AC E doesn't work. Both passages say that judicial insincerity is bad for the institutional legitimacy of the courts. How could judicial insincerity be bad for institutional legitimacy if people don't detect it? Thus, they imply that insincerity is likely to be detected. #help

When you use .75 instead of .8 to define "almost" all, resulting in only .5 overlap, and thus conclude that AC B is correct...

Ok, thanks everyone! I'll start doing LG sections 36-49 (including foolproofing) and I'll foolproof every LG section I do on a PT.

Hi everyone, thanks in advance for the advice :)

Brief background:

-Diagnostic (April) - 159; -14 LG

-PT 2 weeks ago - 163; -8 LG

-PT yesterday - 168; -8 LG

I have done the Powerscore Bibles and 7sage core curriculum and foolproofed about 80 of games PT1-35 so far. I spend 80% of my time on LG, as it is clearly my weakness. I usually miss a couple due to accuracy and then run out of time on the rest.

I'm planning to continue foolproofing 1-35 and take PTs 49-89 (every other) before the October exam. It also seems like a good idea to start taking full, timed LG sections, so I'll do that with 36-49 starting soon.

Other than continuing the foolproofing and taking LG sections, does anyone have advice on how to improve my LG score before the exam? Do I need to change my approach? I am thrilled at my improvement between the last two PTs, but I'm a little disappointed that I didn't improve in LG, since that is what I was actually studying 80% of the time; it was even as easier LG section.

Thanks to those who read this and good luck on your studies!
