Can someone explain how D is the correct answer to PTB S1 Q16? Is it correct because it simply has no impact on the argument?

not me getting a question right before JY
2/3 questions right I'll take this L
I cannot figure this one out for the life of me. How are religious and divine different?
I got this right and here was my thought process while reading over the answers:
A. This is too general. At first it might look like the right choice but it's not because it doesn't mention whether the technically gifted 17th century Dutch artists were major or minor. Thus, it doesn't help the argument.
B. Irrelevant. Who cares what assistants to major artists did? Moving on.
C. This one is trying to bait you into thinking that the artwork thrown away by minor artists could then be taken and credited under major artists names. Don't take the bait!
D. This helps! If these minor artists were trying to make a living by supplying landscapes in the market, then not publishing their name on the artwork would get them paid extra! And that way the conclusion is supported -> blank canvases would allow major artists to sign these landscapes and credit would erroneously be given to them.
E. Doesn't hurt or help. Thus not the right answer.
I'd like to join! I work full time too
This question gave me a headache but I finally got it...the key word in answer B is "meteorite"
I did not choose C because of the word "never". It's too strong for the argument. Answer E is difficult to break down but after reading it a couple of times it makes sense
Can someone explain why B is not the correct answer?

Does anybody have any helpful tips to improve on RC? it's my worst section
I completely misunderstood the question stem....why did the LSAT writers write it like that
I don't understand how the middle sentence is a logical sentence. How is DMUC →CTH? Isn't "require" the logical indicator in the last sentence?
