How long is the usual wait from the check-in time to the start of the exam?

Still not sure if I should write in October or December. Been studying for 2.5 months. Scored a 156 yesterday on a timed PT. Aiming for at least a 160. Thinking December would be better, although like @974 , I'm also curious if Oct gives a better chance at admission.
