A question on an app has simply asked: "Did you take an LSAT preparatory class?" Do I answer yes? Seeing as I purchased the starter package and studied for the test using the CC, prep tests, etc.

My understanding is the ABA strongly suggests, if not requires, that full-time law students do not work during their 1L. But part-time is permitted to work. I could be mistaken.

Hey Vader. Tell us about your acceptances
I have as many acceptances as I do limbs....0
Am I reading this right? Did you sacrifice your arms and legs by serving our country? Hats off to you.. you studied and owned this test the way you did.. I have a good friend who is paralyzed from the neck down, and always wanted to go to law school but doesn't think she can do it due to not being able to use her arms, or walk, etc. I would definitely like to tell her about you. Thank you for your service.
Ok thanks! I thought to indicate yes. Then thought too hard and started researching the definition of "class" haha. Would've been easier had it stated "course."
So I was rejected at a school last year that was one of my top choices. My LSAT score was below their 25th, but I took the chance. I owe it to 7Sage for my 11 point increase- which took me right above their 75th! I had submitted my app in November, to study for my retake, and they reviewed my app already and called me this evening to say they accepted me with a scholarship! It is more than half the tuition, and I am so excited you guys. I got into one school before I retook the lsat, an awful school. I was settling, taking the path of least resistance. But I studied and studied and brought my score up and sat for that damn test for the second time..I dodged a bullet, and saved a ton of money. I'm talking a 6 figure difference here. I was going to go to a school at full ticket price, no scholly, and probably be doomed for future jobs. But I prevailed. Never settle guys! I am excited to hear from other schools I have apps into. A couple I am a bit more above their 75th so I'm hopeful for more money!! I am stoked!

why 3.5 weeks? I thought schools could decide as late as april or may
Every school has a different deadline. A couple of mine have a deadline of July for fall start. Nearly all of the several of my apps today went to "committee review" on the status checker, so that was quick after receiving my Feb score.

Two years of study, four takes of the LSAT and finally...170!!! That was my goal and I'm over the moon. Off to send unnecessary updates to the schools where I've applied!
Just curious - are you emailing them to let them know your score is in? I have several apps on hold and I didn't want to be a nuisance, but am curious if others are emailing schools where they know their app is on hold awaiting the score? If you don't mind sharing, what are going to say in your email?
I am absolutely emailing them. Every. Single. One. Actually, that's not entirely true as I'll be calling some of the schools to pester them instead of emailing them.
As I've been a professional sub-par applicant for the last couple of years I've made some acquaintance of adcoms at a number of the schools. In those cases I'll be calling those folks directly.
These calls/emails may not be entirely necessary but I'm not going to risk it. My case may also be a little different because I had specifically asked schools not to hold on to my applications for my Feb. score.
Great idea. I sent out emails this morning. I had a couple reply back congratulating me on my score increase! Others said that they will get me a decision in 2-3 weeks. Best of luck to you!

Hey all - just took the Feb '18 test and got my score, it was my first time. Congrats to everyone else to completed it as well! I'm going to take it again, but I'm not sure when - wondering if I could get some input here.
I took an online Manhattan Prep course (Sundays) from Oct 15 to Jan 7, and I don't think it was rigorous enough. I want to take a 7sage course before my next test - but I can't do more than ~20 hours a week because I work full time at a start up. Deciding between the Premium & Ultimate courses - would love people to weigh in.
I am looking at either the July 23 or Sept 8 test dates this year for my retake. Is July too soon to increase by ~9 points and complete a 7sage course?
Thanks in advance all! This site rocks.
I had an 11 point increase in 10 weeks of studying. I did the entire CC, did some foolproofing of logic games, and did many drills of LR and some RC. I also took about 10 preptests. I dedicated about 30 hours a week. Fortunately there's 2 tests this summer so I think you have ample time. Then the fall tests. Best of luck. Don't give up keep moving forward.

Does anyone have experience with whether schools decide quickly after the February LSAT? The schools I applied to were waiting on my score. Should I assume they've already generally made up their mind, pending my LSAT (I did well) and I'll hear relatively quickly or that they didn't start reviewing it until they got it and I should wait 4-6 weeks?
Thanks!
I am wondering the same. I know that a couple of schools said they won't even review the file until it is complete, which means the score is in. So, I think for those, that means I have to wait 2-4 or 4-6 weeks.

I've put over 6000 hours into this test, it paid off. I'm no sage, but it paid off. I'm happy tonight. I'm really happy. My first take was a 145 back in December 16. I raised my score exponentially with hard work and fool proofing. 7sage works. It really does. This is coming from a high school drop out with a GED. Don't quit, don't ever quit. You've never failed until you quit trying. DO NOT QUIT!
Very well said, good for you!!! That is an awesome back story.

I hit my goal, I'm happy. I scored 3 points above my PT average. I'm having an IPA. I'm happy.
Good for you, congrats!! I was 2 pts above my goal. I scored this score on 1 PT and it was my highest. A few points above my average of the past several PTs. I am elated, and surprised TBH.

Wait, we won't know the curve?
To my knowledge, no, never. Unless it is one of those undisclosed tests they put in an LSAC prep test then I think we'd still have to figure out if which administration year it was. Like the Superprep has an undisclosed test in it. I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
If someone who scores 170 shares how many they got wrong, then there's your curve...
But they wouldn't know how many they got wrong, would they?
I've never taken an undisclosed test, but don't you still get a section breakdown and total number of missed questions? So you would know you got 12 wrong per say?
No, we will have no idea what we missed, how many, etc.
They literally don't even tell you how many questions you got wrong? That's ludicrous! How could saying, -3, -2 on LR, -5 On RC and -2 on games help people cheat? You deserve to know your splits so you can study effectively for the next administration
Well you know your score, so you could compare that to previous tests and get an idea of how many you missed on the band width. 120-180.. check your score against previous raw scores and get a good idea. I guess that's the risk we take when taking an undisclosed test. I don't entirely understand the reasoning behind it. Although I got my target score, I would love to know what I did good on, b/c I know I bombed the LGs and I was heavily reliant on those on my previous PTs.

@ @ Don't let it get you down friends!!! It's a massive gut punch, but I've been there. I took the LSAT 3 times, the first 2 were disappointing and then the 3rd I killed it and it made everything worthwhile. Don't ever give up, be resilient and keep fighting and you can dominate this test.
That's exactly what you have to do, be resilient. I can't even express how ashamed I was with my first score... you HAVE to keep moving forward.

OMGGGGG GUYSSSSSS
I GOT A 17X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STOKED for you!!!!!! Above, below, exactly, near your recent PTs? Expected?? GREAT job.

You're not alone, trust me babe
Keep moving forward guys. My first score was terrible. I was devastated. 3 years later, here I am. I wish I would've picked up studying right after that terrible score but I was so ashamed. Don't do what I did.

Am I the only one who hasn’t gotten a score yet??
Story of my life:
More anxiety than the average
Longer time being in anxiety inducing situations than the average.
I can’t be the only one still waiting?
Say it ain’t so....
Who else??
I think you'll get it by midnight. Hang in there. Did you take on 2/10? I got mine suuuuuper fast. It got here before my wine delivery came.

anyone else's item response report blank?
Item response will be blank because it’s undisclosed. That means no item response, no image of test booklet. Can’t see the curve. Won’t know what questions you got wrong etc.
I think it’s essentially just the sheet that shows your score & your writing sample. Nothing else.
My item response it there. Everyone is there except the Answer Sheet, Conversion Table, and Disclosure Book.
Ooops forgive me. The .pdf of the IRR is blank. I thought we were referring to the icons..

I am SO sorry to hear that. Was it way worse than you expected?
June! No worries ❤️
Definitely, there are more tests to take. I am almost thinking, if I got an 11 pt increase in 10 weeks, what can I do in double that time? Decisions ..decisions..

Scores are out!!! I got mine in the email at 11:30PM EST.
I got mine during a dinner I was hosting. I saw the email, ran outside, into my car, and drove to Wal-Mart. From there, well, its obvious.
1130 EST? I am EST and it's only 11:11... am I going crazy??

I'm not sure she is still on this board - I believe she got into her choice law school : ).
That seriously touches my heart you guys remembered me! I did get into all the schools I applied to and I had a hard time deciding but am so happy with my decision! I’m a single mom of 3 boys, 6,3,2. I have my father as a support system for whom I’m so grateful. Best of luck, you can do it!! Just do not give up. Be patient. I tried to rush it too much but eventually realized I was lacking, severely lacking, patience! Patience and perseverance are so important. You got this! I start school in 3 weeks and am stoked. Already have reading assignments to complete before classes. :) I too was a paralegal for about 9 years!
