Thank you so much for this info @ - it's nice to also FINALLY be able to test out equipment with login info. Whew, less stress today now, waiting and worrying
LSAC sets it up and emails you the login details the day you're supposed to sign up for a time slot.
July was a flub, they sent the wrong user names out and had to reemail everyone. It's ultimately the email you use with LSAC.
I think last year it was March
The 2019 cycle was reg and flex, so expect a change back as soon as safe.
There's so many US unis that are closed until April 21st. And now the group size restrictions are getting smaller and smaller (50 in my state, I saw 5!! in some of Europe).
To be honest, I think they'll cancel March. To many states want people to avoid contact. April will be interesting, since that test is only days after schools reopen. My bet is that April will also be cancelled. This is a total one off global situation that's still growing, so a one off LSAT response is not necessarily impossible.
I just so want to KNOW though! I was ready to take the test on the 30th (goofed off this past week from the uncertainty) and now it feels like life is on hold again for a new date's confirmation.
I can't imagine it will be easy to find proctors either ...
The place where I'm signed up sent everyone home until mid-April.
I'm trying to reschedule my March test and I hope they respond / let everyone know next week. I imagine a bunch of twitchy people as the 30th draws even closer and we don't know with certainty what's going on!!
It's super ridiculous, but I keep having a nightmare that they've changed their mind and us March testers need to be ready. Funny-not-funny.
is this the part you mention
"even this kind of sacrifice is a form of altruism ..." YUP.
THIS TYPE OF sacrifice --> FORM OF Altruism
You might want to email schools to ask specifically, but I think it's going to affect your chances, even at low ranked schools.
I've seen some high scores get denied because of C&F.
Spend time on LR/AR to get those as close to 0 as possible. I used the 'flex converter' tool and to get a 169, you can miss about 7. If you want a 173, try to get it where you ONLY miss RC questions. And good luck!! And hopefully any last sprint of PT'ing will also help you see improvements on RC for more confidence there.
@-1 I think it's more that schools will see a (possible) low score v. waiting until we feel more confident to then test for as high of a score as possible.
@ I did and as soon as I'm done with the test I'm totally uninstalling that plugin (and chrome). I usually use Firefox, and I had to buy a new laptop for the test, so I installed the plugin first for FF and then decided to install Chrome and its PU plugin. I read ALOT of horror stories from the May and June tests that had FF in common, so I'm planning to use Chrome for the actual test. Funny thing: I ran the system check on FF and it FAILED. But, then I realized that I'd be using Chrome and logged in and ran it on Chrome and it PASSED. Makes me glad my computer is new and has nothing on it.
